Tonight is the first night of open houses for the Elgin Minnesota Volunteer Fire Department Elgin Ambulance Service and the proposed Elgin Emergency Services Building. Please if you’re able to, attend one of them or find a time to meet with us to go through our current buildings and have a conversation on why we are looking to update our current facilities and put the two services under one roof. With a combined 240 plus annual calls for service from individuals willing to put their lives on hold at any moment every hour of the year, all we ask is to come with an open mind and see what these services are providing you. We have a great community with great volunteers and look to only make it better and a lot safer for all, including those that use our facilities from other organizations.

Last nights storms in some areas locally produced large enough hail to cause damage to your vehicles. If you’re in need of an estimate for insurance, or to have the damage repaired, I am here to help you through the entire process. I work with all insurance companies and any make or model of vehicle.

Today I had the privilege of hosting students from PEM and Wabasha Kellogg for a career day tour. It was an opportunity to share my journey and give the students some insight on what to expect and different opportunities within the auto repair industry. It was a first for me as a small business owner to do this and I have to say it was a neat opportunity for all involved. Thanks to Kevin Cardille who is a Career Navigator for putting this all together and the schools for allowing the students to tour the area and see what the industry has to offer.
