Jane Magnolia and apple tree were swirled and smashed together in the storm last night. I cannot save the apple tree, but I got Jane back up on her feet in a better spot. 🤞 she survives!

So it's going to get pretty cold here this week. I decided to dig up and put my broccoli and kale into the greenhouse. Just as my life usually goes, the bottom of this raised bed collapsed!! Dragging across my shinbone on its way down, and filling my shoes with dirt! All I could do is laugh! 😄 🤣 😂

Waldo decided to try to kill himself on Easter Sunday instead of a week day, so the Vet would cost me more! I'm so thankful its not broken. He was a gem for the Vet, and is now pouting because he is in solitary confinement. Send good vibes for fast, and 100% healing!

This is Big Baby. She is the offspring of two Cornish Cross chickens, which usually don't live very long. She is about a year old, and lays XLG to super LG eggs. The last two Xlg eggs She laid had blood on them, so I kept an eye on her. Yesterday we noticed she had an odd looking rear end. Looking closer, she had a p**p crusted pr*****ed vent, and p**p all over her legs and belly, and smelled worse than anything I can describe. Her comb was dull and cold. We immediately put her in a warm Epsom salt bath and did our best to clean her up. Then put her in the garage on hay, so she could warm up and dry off. No food only water. This morning she seemed fine, and went out to free range. She then went to the nesting box. We went and got her, and she had a messy crusty bottom again, just not as bad. We put her back in a bath. I was cleaning her with a soft towel, and she was trying to push out an egg! I went to look for a vet, and my Son yelled Ma come quick! I go in there and he has an egg in his hand lol! Her vent went back to normal, and she is fine for now, and hopefully she will stay that way. WHEW!!!!

This is Cheeks. Cheeks is the product of a forbidden love affair between a Golden seabright, and a Porcelain d'uccle. Cheeks lays light tan small yummy eggs. Cheeks is friendly and sweet, always backs up another chicken being bullied, and she will kick the snot out of a giant rooster. We love Cheeks!
