First EXCA in Arizona for 2025 is just 2 weeks away!!!! Time to get signed up for clinic and race! Soo Excited that Southern Arizona is representing this year in the southwestern region of EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Association). 3 events scheduled so far this year. 2 this spring. March in Elgin and April in Tombstone. Followed by Regional Championship in October. Now is the prefect time to join in on the fun of obstacle challenges. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow your and your horses skills with obstacles while having some fun! 🤩

The 1st Annual MoonShine Ranch Obstacle Mixer was a huge success!

Thanks to all the riders that joined in on the fun with obstacles, followed by trail ride to Vino Stache Winery. Hope to see you at the next event!

Yes it’s called extreme cowboy racing, but as always, go at your own pace that you are comfortable with, walk, trot or lope (no required gait) and just have fun with your horse! We have some really great clinics and judges to help build your skills and confidence.

This clinic is focused on balance and transition riding, preparing you for inside and outside the arena.
It is a foundation for all disciplines and level of riders.

$20 -Auditors - do not have to pre-register

Private lessons start at 1 pm
$65 per hr.

Lessons are open to anyone.( You do not have to participate in the clinic to sign up for a lesson).

You will work on whatever problem or discipline you choose.

Liability waivers will be signed upon arrival before riding.

Directions to the Moonshine Ranch

From Sonita , take hwy 83 south towards Parker Lake. Stay left onto lower Elgin road towards Wilhelm Winery. Turn right onto Fruitland Lane and use the far gate onto the property.

From Benson, take hwy 90 toward Sierra Vista. Turn right on Hwy 82 toward Sonita, Turn left on upper Elgin road toward Village of Elgin. Go over the bridge and keep right onto lower Elgin road. Turn left onto Fruitland lane and use far gate to enter the property.
