Liz is determined to stay up until midnight! Wish her luck!!

Liz is an approximately 1.5 year old, spayed, shepherd/ terrier mix (We do not DNA test) Little is known about this sweet girl's backstory, and we can only imagine what the first year of her life was like. Liz came into our rescue from Alabama and is now learning that having humans around is kinda cool. Liz is a calm, quiet girl who is discovering all the best things that life has to offer. She can be shy and timid upon first meeting, and after a few days in her foster home, has begun to follow the humans around and check things out. She plays with her toys, and enjoys sometimes just taking a nice nap in her crate, where she feels safe. Liz would love a patient adopter who will help her feel safe and secure while introducing her slowly, to all of the great things! She would also benefit from continued training for confidence and social skills. Liz is housebroken and crate trained, good on a leash and likes to ride in the car. While Liz would love a fenced in yard, it is not a requirement as long as she gets proper exercise and stimulation daily. Liz has not yet met kids, but we suspect she would do better with older kids, who understand giving her space and letting her blossom. Liz has alot of love to give and deserves a great family to enjoy her life with.

Meet our featured pup of the week: Zelena!!

Zelena listens really well to commands and walks well on the leash. She is friendly with everyone and wants to do nothing but show you how much love she has to give. She has been great with kids, and has shown to be very gentle with them. She visits with the neighbor dogs through the fence in her foster home (Big old labs and another mix just like her). She is doing well with manners when her people are eating and will listen and go lay down while you eat..it will just take a couple reminders first. New rooms and corners are scary the first time but she does conquer them when you get down to her level and call her over. Zelena is ready for her forever family now!

Amethyst doesn't want to take the Christmas tree down!!

Amethyst is a sweet little girl. Very cuddly and loves to be with people no matter what you are doing. Amethyst also enjoys playing with her toys and is very good at using her scratching post. She loves other cats and is ok with dogs, but must always have a slow introduction. Amethyst would do best in a home with children who are respectful of animals. She would also love to have a kitty playmate in her new home.

Chunk-Etta is bringing sexy back! She has style, she has swagger, she has sass! She ain’t no salad eating girl. Since arriving from Missouri, she is living her best life and is all about strutting her stuff around town. Chunk is one solid girl who adores life, people and other dogs. She will give everyone she meets an abundant amount of love and kisses! If you rub her belly, she will love you even more. Chunk lives with five other dogs of all shapes and sizes and gets along with everyone. She enjoys going for walks, car rides and playing with her stuffy toys. She would prefer a king bed but is happy to snuggle on top of you no matter the size of the bed. WARNING – she snores like a truck driver. She is looking to set up new digs with a family of her own. Are you ready for a massive amount of love? If so, this girl is ready to meet you.

This pup is sure to bring a smile to your face!

Meet 2-year-old Banjo Blue, an approximately 90 lb, American Pitbull Terrier. Banjo Blue was brought into rescue when he was still a young pup in 2022. He was found very thin and needing help to thrive. One of our rescue partners took him in and nursed him back to health. He is a gentle giant that seeks love and affection. Banjo Blue does well with other dogs and loves kids, although he still thinks their lap is bigger than him. Banjo Blue is housebroken, crate trained, does well on a leash, and knows basic commands. He is very treat motivated and willing to learn. He also loves to spend evenings on the couch, watching tv! Banjo would love a yard to play in, go for walks, car rides, and camping. Due to his larger size and exercise needs apartments/ condos are not best for this boy. Banjo would be a great dog for a first-time owner or a family that's open to teach him new things and show him a life of love and adventure

Mimi is now available for adoption!!

Mimi is an approximately 1 year, 23 lb, hound mix who is on the hunt for her forever home. Mimi has completed her wellness exam, is spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. Mimi is a sweet girl. She came to rescue as an owner surrender from a hoarding situation. She is housebroken, crate trained and loves to run around in her foster's back yard. She has been good with other dogs, cats and kids in her foster adventure this far. Mimi can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is silly and playful and just loves everyone. She especially loves to snuggle with her people. Mimi’s ideal family would include her in all the adventures and work with her on her shyness by continuing to socialize her so she can live her best life!

Our new addition is crate trained, housebroken and working hard with her foster family on learning house rules and which house items are not toys.
