Gracie a Amstaff terrier mix rescued from the islands at age 3 is learning how to not be a street dog anymore. She comes to training daycare once a week and her family is just so lovely and knew what they were getting into when they adopted her. We need more pet owners like them as she has not always been such a good dog. She is already coming a very long ways, but it takes patience and time the older the dog gets and the worse the back story it comes from. She is still working on leash manners and high prey drive for critters.

Was the most windy day for the Daycare crowd and boy will we have to retake these photos, their bows were just blowing all over the place!!! All stayed as calm as they could with treats blowing around, leaves flying everywhere, not to mention the large audience they acquired just by being dogs at the most busy lighthouse in the region.

Yes I do train baby puppies!! I board them, train them, daycare them, whatever the need may be. I'll be building some peices of agility equipment as well to help increase their confidence. But as we can see here, I practice recall, obedience manners, social skills both with people and dogs, we do trips, car rides, potty practice. It's fairly well rounded to help start building that fantastic puppy foundation.

So Murphey has been working with me for a very long time and look how well at a year old she handles the Portsmouth Christmas Parade. Like nothing was going on at all. Both got pets from many people, drummers going by, a horse came by, kids flying past. Nope both just stayed chill and enjoyed just being there.

These guys just wanted to go back to the Christmas parade but down and sit stay practice came first.

This is Bailey the (Port. Water dog), Marshall (Feild style Golden Retriever), Scout (Australian Shepard) , and Baby Fiáin and Murphy the (Golden Retriever/Poodle Cross)
These guys all boarded with me for such a fun weekend, my gosh did we do alot! We hit the feilds, the beach, and then Rye NH for a game of ball, then went back for homemade treats! It was a gorgeous and magical day really.

Izzy is a Airdale Terrier on the older side, she was due for her groom and hair style. I love doing terriers they can just be such a glow up once they are styled. Izzy loved the warm bath, duck treats, and waited very patiently while I got her done. Nails, bath, hair style and brush though was $75 total. She is also a Thursday daycare dog.

Rocky top comes to daycare and today his owner wanted him to have a nice bath, coat blow out and his nails done. As you can see he strongly disagrees with this choice. Rocky is a mix of a lot of different breeds, He is what AKC calls a All American Dog. His groom total was $35 to $40.

This is Naartjie (Narjee) means Tangerine. His owners hail from South Africa they are such lovely people and he also comes to daycare as well. But as you can see he could not not anymore and was quite puffy, I got him all dazzled up and looking like a very nice gentleman. A groom such as this, bath, Nails, and hair style was $70 total.

Our Thanksgiving group!!! We had such a fun gang for the holidays. All dogs got a turkey dinner with some other additional snacks thrown in ( all dog safe). They got to play in the cellar in-between the rain on Thanksgiving so they were still worn out by days end. Everyone got in my way while I was cooking😆 Over all a successful holiday boarding group.
I do not have Holiday boarding fees either! Or other random hidden fees

God I love this dog! This is Nelly she not only comes to daycare time to time but boards and grooms with me as well. She is a Lab/Poodle mix. A firecracker of a dog that her owners have done so well with. She has built quite a bond with me as well. She listens and is such a great player. She got herself a much needed hair style for $75 that's hair cut, bath, Nails and comb though.

Violet and Zuzu getting groomed. Violet is a bit of a demon when it comes to nails but this is my second time grooming her/ 4th time handling her as Iv done a lesson with her and some dog walking as well. So the second time her groom went much smoother and easier. By the third and forth we may have built up a very solid relationship with one another. But that is what it takes. Yes she is a biter, yes she is a table dancer, yes she is difficult but patience and confidence will assist with calming the dog down enough to work on them safely. Zuzu was her grooming buddy and throughly enjoyed her groom.

Look at this gorgeous gal, Ellie is owned by a local Eliot couple who are so kind and great owners, she was on her best behavior for this groom. She got her nails, full bath and coat blow out and a solid brushing for $60 total. She is a Golden Retriever. I do not shave these or hack off a ton of hair as the hair is their for a reason on a double coat dog.

Practice of prey drive control, if you can't get your dog off a rabbit or a wild animal of any kind, you could possibly loose the dog, dog could get killed, in some parts of the country high prey drive dog chase animals over cliffs. Always train like you live in one of those areas. It's OK to notice the prey, however self control will over time will build a strong foundation for a dog to be able to say No to the prey when asked too.
