14 year old Zoey has had a heartbreaking week. Her owner passed away and she is in need of a new home. She is very sweet and house trained. If you might be interested in fostering her while she waits for an adoptive home please email us at [email protected]

Please share and help her find some happiness after this heartbreak ❤️🐾

Hi everyone. We are desperately in need of foster homes between NJ and Maine. Please consider opening your home to temporarily help a Mastiff in need. It makes a huge difference to a dog and when that one you’ve been taking care of leaves you for his/her forever home, you get to do it again. There is nothing like the feeling of having been everything that dog needed to reach its best life.

Below is Blaise, our latest foster fail♥️🐾🐾

I wish this was the only Mastiff I’ve seen like this. Thank you, Asher House.♥️

Please help Jagger. Jagger is an 8yo Cane Corso, whose human companion passed away. He currently resides at Quabbin Animal Control in Athol, MA.

Apparently Jagger loves everyone though he's very scared and confused, as anyone would be. He has been well-cared for. The shelter has 38 pages of vet records on him, but he's big enough that he doesn't fit through the dog doors at animal control.

Please share widely. This guy has a lot of years left in him to love.

Last week, we lost our beloved little Piecitos, a.k.a. P. We adopted him as a blind puppy 15 years ago and he regained his sight before turning one. He was full of fun until being diagnosed with lymphoma last fall. P, you filled my heart and I will forever miss your light.

It’s definitely too people-y out there.

Angel is a Bengali cat who travels around the world with her family. Due to the fact that two animals died during a flight – one because of the cold and the other because his cage was hit by other luggage – Angel has started a campaign for all animals to travel in the cabin. The slogan is: "we are not luggage, we are living beings".
Due to her large number of followers, this 15-pound cat hopes to make a change. For now, a good way to help her is to spread her campaign and her slogan ...WE ARE NOT LUGGAGE, WE ARE LIVING BEINGS!

Champion, 9 years, 75 lbs, Northeast

Meet Champion, a distinguished 9-year-old male dog with a heart of gold. Champion has already captured the hearts of many at his sending shelter down south, earning the title of a volunteer favorite with his charming personality. He has a unique way of expressing his affection, often sniffing around before coming up to people for a few pets, only to then wander off to explore and do his own thing. Despite his independent streak, Champion is a great dog through and through, known for his gentle demeanor and amiable nature. In a southern playgroup, he demonstrated his social skills by greeting all dogs appropriately and respectfully, while also maintaining his own space. As a new arrival, Champion is still in the process of revealing the depths of his personality, but one thing is certain—he’s a special companion who deserves a loving new home. If you’re looking for a loyal and endearing canine companion, consider opening your heart to Champion.

If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30-5 PM every day, no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs.
