Fly ball .....finally got a good video.
We get asked and calls all the time about training. What kind do you do?
Well River City Bark and Park does all kinds of training. We have 3 trainers.
Ashley and Heather do most of the training. They will customize the training to you and your dog. No dog trains the same way. They will ask questions. To gain an insight on the dog and you. They will have you fill out paperwork (it seems like a lot of it) some of it you as the owner might think it is a silly question but as a trainer it is something they need to know.
Ashley and Heather can train basic obedience (sit, stay, wait, leash etc) to behavior issues. Which can be aggression, reactivity etc. They are both AKC certified evaluators. Both have trained service dogs.
Lisa is RCBP fly ball trainer. She has worked for many years to get where she is at now. She started with great Danes and flyball. She is awesome to watch.
If you need or just want information please reach out. RCBP does private, group, offsite and board and trains.

Here is another great short training video.
Just a small clip of some of our training dogs. Enjoy
Muzzle training. What is is? Basically it is a type of training for your dog. This type of training takes time, you must work with your dog to wear a muzzle. Just because a dog wears a muzzle does not mean the dog is bad, mean, aggressive etc. All dogs should be muzzle trained. If your dog gets hurt (something like hit by car for example) and you need to take him or her to vet, they may be in so much pain they may redirect and bite you. This is just one scenario.
In this short training video, you will see how we start muzzle training. This dog is in private session and has never been muzzled, never seen a muzzle, and look at how this is a positive session. This dog wants to put on the muzzle. This how far we went. We never fastened, or made him wear it. We ended that part if the session like we do every session on a positive note.
Again this is done in a slow positive way. All the muzzles we use and suggest, the dogs can pant, drink water, take treats etc. If a dog is to wear a muzzle please seek advice from a professional if you have never put a muzzle on your dog. Muzzles need to be measured for each dog. There are so many types of muzzle. Some are for the working dogs,k9 police, some are for just using at vets, etc. These are training tools and should never be left on a dog for extended period of time. Again please do not just go buy a muzzle and stick on your dog. We would be glad to help you start muzzle training or any type of training you might need.
Please reach out as we are booking private sessions but they fill up fast.

Some start off leash work. She is just starting her training with us. We use a lot of different obstacles in training wether it is basic or advance. We want the dog to be use to everything and have fun. Some days we may drill drill drill others we will set up a simple course and have fun. Either way handler and dog are still learning.
Not the best video but a great start with a puppy. Another one of our training videos.
