It is so sad that so many are attacking Skyward Pines Equestrian Center, as they are one of our main sponsors who provide space, feed and financial support for our Sanctuary horses. Many of our horses don't always come in looking all fat as many of them have health problems that you are not aware of. The horses are all properly vetted and have been cleared for lite riding, for short periods of time by our vet. They are being fed properly according to our vet. Some of our horses can not be super fat like everyone thinks they should due to medical conditions that make them very uncomfortable when they are heavier. The ones that are lacking on their topline are padded heavily with get pads and none of the horses or ponies have any sores or are showing signs of distress. The horses and ponies are also not worked in extreme hot weather. We stick with very strict guidelines dealing with the heat and humidity.
The horses and ponies are fed top quality hay (that we grind up personally everyday in the heat and top quality grain, most of them have to eat a slurry. Just like people when it is extremely hot some of them don't like to eat their normal rations.
Animal control has been here and reviewed our vet records. Everything is as it should be.
No people nor Skyward Pines Equestrian Center receive compensation for these animals. All money received is spent on the animals.
The people that started these posts and the bashing have been verbally attacking Skyward Pines Equestrian Center for several years. They have been taken to court previously and apparently Skyward Pines Equestrian Center may have to pursue legal action again.
Thank you again for bashing those who are trying to help the horses and ponies. Maybe some need to stop spreading things you know nothing about and do your part in helping Skyward Pines Equestrian Center continue to raise money for animals that need assistance.
