Our goal is to promote a natural way of communication with horses, where the purpose is mutual respect and a relationship where the horse trusts its human partner and sees us as a fit leader. We will accept horses intended for slaughter, horses in need of emergency assistance, private surrenders, and from Animal Control agencies. We provide each with the care, training, and space to recover, for however long they need. If the horse cannot recover, they will live while they are comfortably able, and then “cross rainbow bridge” with dignity and friends by their side. Working closely with our professional team of equine specialists, we make our decisions based on what is best for horse and the sanctuary family. While adoption is not our focus, select horses may be available to adopt, under a limited contract, to the right home. In addition to being a horse rescue, we educate horse owners and the public on proper care and treatment of horses. We will promoting proper horsemanship and riding skills with safety being the utmost importance.
