We sure adore the kitties of Rocky Mountain Leos 😍

Their mama is pretty sure they are a big reason that she made it through the last year. They seemed to understand their mama was very unwell and gave her all of their love and energy on her bad days.

They take their job as caretakers and healers very seriously, and we are so thankful for them!

The 2 cats pictured here are Lona (Mac-a-Loni and cheese) and Beans (Beany MacDoo). Beans is an American Bobtail rescue kitty and Lona is a Rumpy Manx rescue that have been with us since before Rocky Mountain Leos ever came to be. They aren’t the only kitties we have but they are definitely the mamas girls here!

Aurora’s little tummy is starting to grow. This is one of the sweetest experiences ever!

Aurora goes in for another ultrasound this Wednesday and we can’t wait for another peek at our little ones!

AURORA IS PREGNANT!!!!

Her pregnancy was confirmed this morning and there are 4-5 puppies at a minimum!

Babies are due Thanksgiving 2024!

Aurora got some cuddles from her support kitty after she helped her mama at the doctor.

Aurora alerts her mama to low oxygen levels in her blood and yesterday was just one of those days for mom. She stayed steady by her mamas side while the doctor checked things over. She is the best girl.

Aspen is sure having a blast with our boarding friend, Astro.

As an Aurora update, her tummy is all better, thankfully. We will find out if her breeding took in a couple of weeks!

*Baby Dee had a tough day today. She vomited 3 times and seemed to not feel good until around dinner time.

Now, dogs can get morning sickness in pregnancy, but not until the third week. Aurora is at most 10 days pregnant if her artificial insemination took, so I think she ate something that didn’t agree very well with her tummy. Most likely a twig from the backyard, because she sometimes channels an inner cow.

Overall things are calm right now. Hopefully the universe favors her having a healthy pregnancy and delivery!

**In other news one of our past board and trains is visiting while his dad is abroad. Dad has done a phenomenal job keeping up on his training and Mr. Astro is an absolute joy to be caring for again!

***We do still have November Boarding and Board and Trains available in the schedule, but slots are filling up fast due to limited space to ensure exemplary care of your babies.

****After Thanksgiving we will be fully booked until February :)

It’s just been a whirlwind around here.

I wanted to give a quick update, because I know our legitimacy has been in question a bit.

We will be on the breeder page with the LCA (Leonberger Club of America) within the week.

We were surprised with an early heat in Aurora so we’ve been handling things on the back end a bit more than we would have liked.

We are members in good standing with the LCA since 2021 and are proud to be a part of this wonderful club.

We appreciate that we have such amazing oversight by our parent club, and we honestly love that people are looking to them to confirm that we are ethical breeders of Leonbergers!

Good job potential owners, for ensuring the best for our rare and majestic dogs!

This is the very most exciting and expensive delivery we’ve ever received!

1 billion teeeeeny Leonberger friends met Aurora today in a trans cervical insemination.

We will repeat this on Monday, and her confirmation ultrasound is scheduled for October 21!

We are over the moon that we have the opportunity to better our beloved breed for the future!
