Mounted the biggest squirrel breed in the United States! This guy has been setting in my freezer for a while hence some of the slippage, yet he didn’t disappoint to be a beautiful piece of art. This squirrel even has a small red patch of fur on the left side of its body that I thought was just a blood stain till further examination! Cant wait to tackle another one of these guys!

The taxidermy show was a success! Had some emergency’s along the way but everything came together in the end. Won second place on my mink and fox for amateur division as well as habitat division on the fox. I was also blessed to have won a special award at the banquet that represents a taxidermist that is no longer with us due to cancer but loved taxidermy that told a story, I was so thankful and happy to have experienced my first competition!
