Pre-registration closes tonight at 5p. The arena is a little wet, but should dry up well for Saturday!

A few updates:

🐴Show start time will be delayed to 12p to allow the arena to dry out. Gates still open at 9a.

🐴Short (4” minimum) sleeves will be allowed.

🐴Classes 1-3 will be run in the grass to save your boots!

🌟MEET YOUR JUDGES🌟

Andy Castro is the owner and head trainer at Cutting Loose Ranch LLC. Andy has been training horses for over 30 years. Andy has trained and shown horses successfully in several disciplines. He also has extensive experience as a Judge. He has judged Saddle Club Shows, Open Shows, and Ranch Horse Shows. He is an Approved/Carded Judge for the ARHA and was selected to be one of the judges for the ARHA World Shows in 2022 and 2023. Andy has been judging for many years and has judged shows in many states in the Southeast and Midwest.

William Butler has been involved in the horse industry for most of his life. He grew up on a working horse and cattle farm where he rode and worked cattle every day. After returning from his Army service, William worked for Pear Tree Quarter Horse Farm, home of the NCHA Hall of Fame cutting horse Delta. They bred, raised and showed APHA, AQHA and NCHA horses. While working at Pear Tree, he hauled and showed country wide, showing all-around, but his favorite classes were always, and continue to be trail and cutting. William’s skill and knowledge of cutting horses were honed while working with NCHA hall of Fame member, Pat Patterson. He hauled and showed with Pat for several years before meeting and marrying his wife, Janet. Today, William is happy to be back in the horse show life judging and managing shows.

We are very honored to welcome these two horsemen for our July 27th show.

A few key points about Saturday's show:

👚Button-down SHORT SLEEVE shirts with a collar will be allowed. Be sure your sleeves are at least 4" long (no sleeveless).

☀️We are expecting HOT temperatures. There will be hoses and buckets on-site to keep your horses and yourself hydrated. We will also set up a couple of shade tents if you need a break from the sun. Show management will also allow for breaks as needed to take care of the horses throughout the day.

🌟MEET YOUR JUDGES🌟

Professional Horsewoman Arleen Hensley owns and operates Hensley’s Show Horses, located near Historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Ms. Hensley has trained, coached or shown over 50 World and Reserve World Champions in three breed associations. Ms. Hensley has been a ApHC carded judge for over 25 years. She has judged shows in Europe, The UK and Canada, as well as some of the largest breed shows in the USA. Ms. Hensley specializes in horsemanship, the basics for every horse related discipline. Currently her clients are excelling in the Ranch Rail, Trail and Showmanship Classes.

Jacky Rhea resides in the Shelby/Kings Mountain, NC area and was the owner/operator of Jacky Rhea's Training Center. He has been a horse trainer and exhibitor for over 50 years. Jacky has trained and shown in the American Quarter Horse Association, National Snaffle Bit Association, American Paint Horse Association, Palomino Association and American Ranch Horse Association. As recently as last year he was honored to be asked to show a horse in the ARHA World Show in Ocala, Florida and won a Reserved World Title. Horses have been Jacky's passion all his life. He has earned numerous championship titles up and down the East Coast as well as The Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio. Sharing his experience and knowledge with youth, amateur, as well as professionals is something he enjoys doing with special attention and advice being given to the youth who are the future of the horse industry.

We are so excited to be back in the show pen with you all and because of that, we're paying back $500 of ADDED MONEY next show thanks to Legend Performance Horses .

$100 ADDED MONEY will be offered for:

Unfortunately, the show this weekend is CANCELLED due to wet conditions. We hate that we won’t see you all, but know we are working hard to find a make-up date and will be offering BIGGER PAYOUTS at our June show.

🌟MEET YOUR JUDGES🌟

Sylvia Graham has over 40 years of judging and showing experience. She specializes in western and hunter events, and has competed at the national level with Paints, Quarter Horses and Appaloosas. Though she’s now retired from showing, Sylvia still judges regularly throughout the East Tennessee region.

Dr. Alyssa Logan is an Assistant Professor and the Horse Judging Team Coach in the Horse Science Program at Middle Tennessee State University. She holds NRHA and ASHA judges cards, as well as an AQHA level 1 judges card, and is an AQHA and NRHA professional. In academic and professional equestrian capacities, Dr. Logan works to combine scientific evidence with the realistic goals of horse owners and competitors to explore methods of exercise training and management that will lead to healthy careers for performance horses.

We are so grateful to have these two women in the pen this weekend.
