Our six year old son, Dalton, adores his fur-sister, Ellie. In honor of his love for her, he decided he wanted to bake and sell dog-friendly donuts..

and so, Dalton's Doggie Donuts was born. We offer natural, dog-friendly donuts for your pooch.

This batch of donuts was made with some extra love and a handful of tears. This was our first batch that we made where Ellie wasn't laying on the floor at our feet collecting all the crumbs. I realized I'm a little messier than I thought too because it left me cleaning it all up. We usually wait until closer to Valentine's Day to make the pink and red donuts but wanted to honor our sweet girl that we lost on Saturday, so we jumped ahead a couple of weeks and made love themed donuts. We're delivering them to Barefoot Brew tomorrow morning so feel free to stop in to purchase them anytime thereafter.

Thank y'all for your continued love and support of Dalton's Doggie Donuts. Dalton told us on Sunday that he didn't know if he wanted to stay in business with Ellie being gone and it gave us a great opportunity to squeeze him a little tighter and talk to him about continuing it in memory of her. We love y'all and covet your prayers for our broken (but healing) hearts.

Dalton's inspiration for his "lemonade stand but for doggie donuts" was his "big sister," our puppy dog.. Ellie. This afternoon, our boy said his final goodbye to her after their 10+ years together. Please be in prayer for his big little heart.. for comfort and peace.

Four years ago today.. riding down the road in the backseat of my car, our (then) six year old told me that he wanted to start a lemonade stand, but for doggie donuts.. and so his big dream and little business began.. we send lots of virtual hugs and a tremendous amount of gratitude to those of you who have supported Dalton the last four years. We've met a lot of new friends and fur-friends on our journey and appreciate you letting us love on your fur-babies during those interactions. Thank you for your continued support and for loving on our boy in return.

Santa Paws and Claws

We've got our limited edition Christmas doggie donuts with us.. perfect stocking stuffers for your pups!!

Santa and Mrs. Claus are here too for pictures with your fur-babies.

There are craft vendors inside, Burney's Sweets & More of Elizabethtown is open, and Barefoot’s Sandwich Shoppe will be open soon (they have the very best tomato soup by the way.. which is perfect for this weather). You're also in walking distance to all the shops downtown.. it's a beautiful day in Elizabethtown, North Carolina!!

Three years ago today while driving down 87, our (then) six year old said to me, "Mom, I want to start a lemonade stand but for doggie donuts." My initial reaction was "What, where did that come from?!" By that evening, we had researched dog-friendly ingredients and put our initial investment into his little business that he helped name, Dalton's Doggie Donuts. Within the first 24 hours, we sold several to friends of ours and partnered up with Kelly Barefoot at Barefoot Brew for a trial run at the coffee shop.

Three years later and I am just in awe of how big of an impact his little concept has made. I'm such a proud mama!!

Today, on our third anniversary, we want to thank all of you.. for liking our page, for your kind comments, for sharing our posts, for purchasing from us and our partners, and for loving on our sweet boy.

To our partners, we are so so so grateful for you. Thank you for carrying our donuts, for advertising his business, and for your continued support of our little guy's dream. We couldn't do it without you!! Y'all are amazing!! We love y'all so much!!

This last year has been fun..
*We added a couple of partners and were super excited to expand to Allen Family Orchards and Market on Main;
*We've continued our incredible partnerships with Camp Clearwater and Barefoot Brew (who has let us hang out with them since our first day in business);
*We shipped further than we ever shipped before and our donuts made their appearance in the state of Washington (to add to our list that included New Jersey and Michigan);
*We continued to grow our seasonal, limited edition offerings;
*We baked several birthday cakes to celebrate your precious pups;
*And lastly, we remain incredibly appreciative and humbled by your love and support.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!

The boss was in the kitchen tonight helping bake some donuts to be delivered fresh to Market on Main tomorrow.. including some Special Edition Valentine's donuts since the store is so beautifully decorated for V-Day.

Around here, we start third grade and bake and deliver four dozen donuts in the same week.. we're a bit worn out from the last few days.

We're excited to announce our most recent partnership with Allen Family Orchards!! We visited this afternoon to deliver some donuts and enjoyed the amazing hospitality. They're located off of Highway 87 in Tar Heel in the beautiful red building. Stop in and check out their selection of all things pecan, ice cream (Dalton approved), gift baskets, and so much more.. including Dalton's Doggie Donuts now too!! We can't wait to try the pecan soap.. it's packaged so pretty and smells super good!!

We dropped some Spring Edition Dalton's Doggie Donuts off at Barefoot Brew this morning along with a new display for them that Dalton's awesome daddy made and Kaitlyn Smith lettered up and painted for us. Of course, we couldn't leave empty handed.. 🤷‍♀️
