Our six year old son, Dalton, adores his fur-sister, Ellie. In honor of his love for her, he decided he wanted to bake and sell dog-friendly donuts..

and so, Dalton's Doggie Donuts was born. We offer natural, dog-friendly donuts for your pooch.

This batch of donuts was made with some extra love and a handful of tears. This was our first batch that we made where Ellie wasn't laying on the floor at our feet collecting all the crumbs. I realized I'm a little messier than I thought too because it left me cleaning it all up. We usually wait until closer to Valentine's Day to make the pink and red donuts but wanted to honor our sweet girl that we lost on Saturday, so we jumped ahead a couple of weeks and made love themed donuts. We're delivering them to Barefoot Brew tomorrow morning so feel free to stop in to purchase them anytime thereafter.

Thank y'all for your continued love and support of Dalton's Doggie Donuts. Dalton told us on Sunday that he didn't know if he wanted to stay in business with Ellie being gone and it gave us a great opportunity to squeeze him a little tighter and talk to him about continuing it in memory of her. We love y'all and covet your prayers for our broken (but healing) hearts.

Dalton's inspiration for his "lemonade stand but for doggie donuts" was his "big sister," our puppy dog.. Ellie. This afternoon, our boy said his final goodbye to her after their 10+ years together. Please be in prayer for his big little heart.. for comfort and peace.

Four years ago today.. riding down the road in the backseat of my car, our (then) six year old told me that he wanted to start a lemonade stand, but for doggie donuts.. and so his big dream and little business began.. we send lots of virtual hugs and a tremendous amount of gratitude to those of you who have supported Dalton the last four years. We've met a lot of new friends and fur-friends on our journey and appreciate you letting us love on your fur-babies during those interactions. Thank you for your continued support and for loving on our boy in return.

Santa Paws and Claws

Come see us from now until 2 p.m. at the farmer's market in Elizabethtown!!

We've got our limited edition Christmas doggie donuts with us.. perfect stocking stuffers for your pups!!

Santa and Mrs. Claus are here too for pictures with your fur-babies.

There are craft vendors inside, Burney's Sweets & More of Elizabethtown is open, and Barefoot’s Sandwich Shoppe will be open soon (they have the very best tomato soup by the way.. which is perfect for this weather). You're also in walking distance to all the shops downtown.. it's a beautiful day in Elizabethtown, North Carolina!!
