We are located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, just 20 minutes from the middle of town. We have an outdoor area to ride for lessons and 20 acres of pasture to ride in. We also have a 60x60 indoor arena to ride in if needed! Our primary goal is to offer lessons that focus on safety, fun, and learning. We offer lessons for all levels of riders, regardless if it a new adventure for you or something that

you are comfortable with. Our youngest riders are 5 years old and our oldest ones are mature adults (no telling ages!)

Some of our riders show in the local 4H horse club, some have special needs, and others are here just to learn about and enjoy the horses. Regardless of your level of interest, we would love to help you reach your goals with horses. Please visit our website or contact us via email or phone to learn more about us! We had a great time at our Fall Cookout for our riders and their families! The kids got to paint pumpkins, paint horses, do a sack race and a 3 legged race. We also enjoyed roasting hot dogs and making s’mores!

Yes! Each horse has a purpose and majority of the time, the horse that is harder for you to ride will teach you the most! Those lazy horses will teach you how to effectively use your legs. Those bouncy horses will teach you balance and control of your body. That naughty pony will teach you how to be firm but not rough. The sensitive horse will teach you how to use small changes and how to quickly release pressure. The “perfect” pony that does its job and takes care of the rider…she teaches you confidence. Then you learn more on other horses and go back to that pony and see what it can really do. Every lesson horse has a purpose. And sometimes those lessons take a while to learn.

For the love of all riding school Ponies and Horses

A small stab in the heart is what you feel when you put up the day’s riding list and you see riders sinking heavily in their shoulders when reading which horse they are assigned for the lesson. A small stab in the heart for that horse that for an hour will carry around a rider who has already decided that he does not like his horse. A small stab in the heart for the horse that did not choose the rider himself but still does his best, lesson after lesson.

Riding is a privilege and something you have chosen to do. If you chose to ride at a riding school, your instructor assumes that you actually want to learn how to ride. The instructor’s highest wish is that you get good at it.

Often there is a plan and a thought as to why you are assigned to that exact horse. Before you mount up next time, ask yourself “what can this horse teach me today?” All horses have something to give, a feeling or a new tool in the box.

The art is actually in being able to get a lazy horse to move forward, to get an uncertain horse to gain confidence, a naughty horse to focus or a tense horse to be released. It takes work. If you think a horse is boring, it’s more likely that you don’t ride the horse as well as you think! It’s not easy to be confronted with your own shortcomings, but it is in that very situation that you get the chance to truly grow as a rider.

The excuse that “it’s not my kind of horse” is actually a really bad excuse. A good rider can ride any kind of horse. A good rider has trained many hours on different types of horses to become a good rider. A good rider can find and manage the gold nuggets in every horse.

If we absolutely want to ride, it is our duty to strive to do it as best as possible, even if it’s only for fun. We owe it to every horse that carries us upon it’s back.

Copied and shared with love for all of our horses, ponies and riders 🐎❤🐎

I was watching Holly on the camera and she was super restless. I called Dad at midnight and he went down to the arena. He was down there for 27 minutes and her water broke.

I woke Sylar and Lilly up and they got to watch the foal be born. From the time we got down to the arena, it took less than 8 minutes for Holly to have the foal. They both said it was worth waking up to watch.

At 12:40, Holly had her first foal. Welcome to the world little one!
