When we work together, we make our communities stronger.

We were able to provide winter outdoor cat shelters recently to our friends at Warm Blessings Community Kitchen for some of their clients who are outdoor cat caretakers. Our partnership with Warm Blessings creates a connection that provides needed support in this and other ways and shows how important working together is.

We are grateful for the work that Warm Blessings does and are proud that they are part of our animal welfare village.

Update: this sweetheart has been adopted!

If you aren’t feeling the love for this then maybe check your pulse. She is a big ol smooshy heart wrapped in snuggles and an adoring gaze. Her day out was a confirmation of what we already know - the person who gives this girl her forever will have the best friend they’ve ever known.

Her volunteer friend shared their day with us…

Cranberry was the best girl today. She’s perfection in my book. This girl is the perfect rainy day buddy because she thrives on human attention, people watching and snacks. She wants nothing more than to crawl up in your lap and get head scratches…even if that means plopping down in the middle of Rural King to make that happen. She was gentle and quiet, and lovely on the leash. She would walk past each aisle at Rural King and if she saw people her tail would go wild. She was so happy to say hello to some kind people at Vibe and enjoyed their extra attention. She was an excellent car rider. I did not experience any jumping, barking or reactivity towards other dogs in the store. If you’re looking for a low key girl who would probably be content with short strolls and plenty of belly rubs, Cranberry is your girl.

Be the lucky one to find yourself at the center of Cranberry’s universe by meeting her at the Hardin Co Animal Shelter 220 Peterson Dr in E’town 12-4pm M-Sat.

Adoptable Cranberry wants to meet you. No prerequisites, just you. There has never been a sweetheart that is more interested in being all up in your space than this sweetheart.
She made all the friends at Vibe Coffee and would have made them at every other place in the world if given the chance.

When you have so much sweetness and love busting out of you, your tail simply cannot contain it. This is how Adoptable Cranberry reacts when she sees people.

When your body says let’s get outta here but your eyes say we can really just hang out anywhere as long as you’re beside me.

This darling girl is getting busted out of the shelter for the day by an awesome volunteer friend. Stay tuned to hear about Adoptable Cranberry’s adventure ❤️

What to get my sweet baby for Christmas…

Oh, I know! A pet!

Yes! Also no! Mostly… it depends.

Have you been considering a pet for a while? Thinking about your lifestyle, your home space, your human interest and financial resources. If the answer is yes, and we feel like we’re ready, then find yourself a furry best friend at the shelter and have a happy forever (after some ups and downs - they happen).

If the thoughts are - my kiddo has always wanted a dog but I will be super bothered by (insert best option here - fur, noise, early morning potting outside, chewed up meemaw’s blanket) then it’s best to hold up a titch and find a lovely stuffed animal for your beloved.

We want adoptions. The other option isn’t good.
But neither are temporary homes that last until January-ish.

This is just your friendly December PSA to make sure that if you’re planning to gift a life for Christmas, it means life.

Way to go friends!

Thanks to your support of us during the Give270 50-4-50 bourbon raffle, we not only got a portion of the raffle proceeds - we received the bonus for getting the most votes! We recently picked up a check for $2500!

We are continuously humbled and grateful for your unfailing support of our mission to help homeless animals. We are also so thankful for friends like Jill and her team at Hardin County Honda and Giselle and her team with Elizabethtown Lifestyle Magazine who make an opportunity like this possible for us.

Thank you village ❤️

Where for art thou sweet Juliette’s family?

This 3 y/o 50lb shepherd/hound mix beauty may be named from a Shakespearean tragedy, but she would prefer a better ending.

Help Juliette find her happily ever after by meeting her 12-4pm M-Sat at the Hardin Co Animal Shelter 220 Peterson Dr in E’town.
