The Clements family of Utah sent us some great pictures of Misti. She joined their family just days before Christmas and has been enjoying lots of love and pets from her new mom and dad. Congratulations and God's blessings to Misti and her family! ❤️

It's been a trying few days here, and I'm sad to share that we have lost all but one puppy in Violet and Stetson's litter. It appears that the puppies contracted an e coli infection, which we believe was passed through Violet's milk. (Basically, food poisoning). Violet is doing fine and is being treated with antibiotics. The one remaining puppy seems stable right now. We are working on getting her to feed from the bottle (we have been feeding her with a syringe), and she is showing an appetite - so hopefully, she will start nursing from the bottle soon.

I wish we had a better update to share with everyone. It's been exhausting and heartbreaking, and we are worn out. But, I wanted to thank each of you for your prayers and kind words. It was reassuring to know that the puppies were being prayed for while we struggled.

This has been a sad ending to an otherwise pretty good year... but I'm feeling hopeful. I'm hopeful for the sweet baby that's still here, and I'm hopeful for the new year! I look around, and I'm surrounded by blessings. We have a loving family that has pulled together to help each other in tough times, and even when we have gotten on each other's nerves, we knew that we were a team. We have precious little lives all around that we know have been entrusted to us by God - from the cattle, goats, horse, geese, chickens, cats and dogs - we know they are blessings from God. We know we are blessed to live in peace and freedom. We are thankful for our health and the health of our animals; and we are thankful to live in a place where there are good veterinarians and healthcare providers for people. And we are thankful for the kindness and support from each of you! It means more to us than words can express.

We are hopeful that 2025 will be a peaceful and prosperous year for each of you! God's blessings to you and yours!

We could use your prayers today. Violet and Stetson's puppies got very sick last night. Sadly, we lost the little white baby, and several others are very sick. Thank you all for lifting them up!

Happy Anniversary to us! 27 years ago, we jumped into the collie raising world by bringing home our first collie. She was a gorgeous tricolor named Myst. She was pregnant - with 11 babies! - so, we spent the next month getting ready to raise puppies. God really blessed us with some wonderful, well-bred Collies to start our kennel. (We were pretty ignorant about the breed, so getting off to a healthy start truly was a blessing from God!) We have met so many wonderful families over the last 27 years, and we have had so many fabulous dogs that have been a blessing to us and others! Thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of this journey!
