PET COSTUME CONTEST: 🐕🎃🐈‍⬛👻
It’s no secret that we love Halloween! With this in mind, we are kicking off our annual Pet Costume Contest! The rules are simple. Comment on this post with a picture of your pet in their costume. Share it with your friends to get likes. The pet pictured with the most likes will win our Halloween Gift Basket!

The winner will be announced on Halloween Day at 5pm. We will comment “WINNER” on the picture of the pet with the most likes. We will message the winner with details on how to claim their prize. This is all in good fun and we hope you enjoy our little contest. Good luck!

Day 2 of the Giant Pumpkin Festival was busy and fun! We got to see some more of our awesome clients and patients and even got a heart warming update from a sweet dog we saw earlier this week who is recovering well at home! We look forward to contacting the 3 winners of our gift basket giveaways on Monday October 14th. What do you all think, should we go again next year? What other events would you like to see Frankin Ranch going to in the future? We’d love your ideas!

Such a special day meeting new dogs and seeing some of our patients in the community! Please note a very special appearance by Harrah the Great Dane who was born at Franklin Ranch Pet Hospital last year! She’s all grown up and beautiful now!!! This is Candy… she came in to see us for a dental procedure today. Someone walked by and commented that the way her blanket was wrapped around her made her look royal, like a queen. It was only fitting that we completed the ensemble with a crown. Candy has such a sweet personality and so much love to give. You would never know that this was after her procedure. Thanks for putting a smile on all our faces today Candy!!!

It’s that time of year again and we are already getting multiple calls and requests for medications for our noise sensitive pets. If your animal needs help with their noise anxiety, please call us. Please also remember these very important tips to help keep your pets safe and secure during the loud festivities.
🎆Make sure your pet is microchipped AND make sure the information on their chip registration is updated with your most current contacts. Be sure to add some emergency contacts as well.
🎇Keep pets indoors in a safe and secure place. Consider closing cat and dog door flaps temporarily to ensure your pet has a safe place to shelter and not escape from.
🎆Noise control is very important, turn on some white noise or some calming sounds to try and reduce the booms.
🎇It’s ok to let them hide. You can check on them often, but forcing them to come out of their “safe” place may cause them more stress.
🎆If your pet is lost during the loud celebrations please call and check your local shelters first, this is the most likely place for them to be.
**Pro tip: Joining local lost and found pet pages on social medial is highly recommended also and is very effective in reuniting pets back with their humans.

Unfortunately we are experiencing a power outage due to this bad weather. We are unable to call and reschedule our last few appointments. Our phones will remain down until power is restored. The techs had a blast at the CPR refresher course offered to us by Vista Veterinary Specialists! So many people benefited from the practice dummies. While we never want to see your animals in our hospital for CPR, know that if we ever do… they will be in good and capable hands. Let’s give our techs a round of applause for staying after work to brush up on their CPR skills! 👏👏👏

Not only do we celebrate our techs this week, but all year long. As we come to an end of tech week, please join me in congratulating Alyssa on placing her first IV catheter. She did it with the support of her fellow techs and we even celebrated with high fives, cheers and clapping. Great job Alyssa. We love watching you learn and succeed!

These are the smiles of techs who love what they do and do with with such passion! They also have sweet attention to details, they made sure their patients casts at least look cute. Poor Eleanor has two broken front legs and has been an absolute sweetheart for her splint changes.

Our lead techs work hard daily to uphold the gold standard of care that we provide to each patient that comes to our facility. Why are there 4 you ask?
