NOTICE OF VACANCY
CITY COUNCIL – ELK HORN
Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Elk Horn City Council due to the resignation of Council Member Kendall Petersen. The term of this position has two (2) years remaining, ending December 31, 2027.
The City Council intends to fill this vacancy by appointment in accordance with Section 392.1 of the Iowa Municipal Code.
Qualified residents who reside within the city limits of Elk Horn and are interested in being considered for appointment are invited to submit a letter of interest or résumé to:

New Utility Billing System - Please Register by January 1st
We’ve now launched our new utility billing system!
Create your account to pay online by e-check or debit/credit card and get your utility bill emailed to you. All in person payments will still be accepted with no change.

How to enable emailed bills: After you create your account, go to My Account → Edit → Notification Preferences and turn on Enable Email – Payments and Utilities.

The new Utility Billing System is LIVE!

We’re excited to announce that our new cloud-based utility billing system is now live and ready for customers to create their own accounts. You will need your account number when creating an account, and mark YES you are already receiving bills from us.

This new platform allows you to:

View and monitor your utility account and usage

Make payments online at your convenience

Track your billing history in one easy place

While there will be a learning curve for everyone, please know that we are here to help you through this transition.

You may still pay your utility bill in person using check, card, or cash—this online system simply gives you another convenient option to manage and pay your bill anytime using your own secure username and password.
