🎉K-9 plush toys are back!🎉 Due to the very high demand last time, we have staff set to open plushie sales to the public on Thursday, June 13th from 8am to 7pm and Friday June 14th, from 8am to 4pm. The sales will be in the Law Enforcement Center lobby.

Plushies are still $20 each with all proceeds benefiting the K-9 Fund through the Community Foundation.

ADULT CATS (OVER 12 MONTHS) ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR ONE YEAR BOOSTER VACCINE AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BEFORE THEIR SURGERY APPOINTMENT. ONLY FERAL CATS THAT CANNOT BE HANDLED ARE EXEMPT. *

We do want the friendly outdoor cats to come vaccinated for Distemper (and we can provide the booster vaccine) however, if they are FERAL (un-handleable), we will NOT require the Distemper vaccine (we absolutely do not want you to get bit trying to vaccinate a feral cat).

Need to get your cat vaccinated so you can schedule a future surgery? We have walk-in appointments for Distemper vaccines and Rabies vaccine (cats only for meow) in Baldwin every Tuesday 10 am - 1:30 pm and Eau Claire every Wednesday 10 am -1:30 pm. (Cash or cashiers check for vaccines please.)

This weekend, I am also thinking of men and women like my dad. The Atomic soldiers that lost their lives decades later from the incredible radiation they received during their time in the service being lab rats for the Department of Defense.

Over two hundred eighty thousand active military would have their lives shortened by decades or suffer cancer and die from the exposures, but most Americans have no knowledge of them.

I asked my father who was dying at age 60 if he was bitter about it. He said, "no, I signed on the dotted line saying that I was willing to give my life for the defense of my Country. It just happened that I got to live many decades longer than some who went to war."
This weekend, let us Honor those who served and didn't come back and those who served and it cost them their lives.
