We are a small hobby farm in western Wisconsin and we love our Spaniels so much that we want to share them with everyone. We have English Springer Spaniels, and American Cocker Spaniels. Our dogs are fantastic family dogs, always willing to play and equally happy lounging about. Our dogs have strong European bloodlines and are a nice cross of the field and bench styles; making them perfect for families, showing or hunting.

Angel went to see an eye specialist today and the news is not what I was hoping for. The damaged muscle cannot be reattached so her eye will continue to look outward. She also has an ulcer on her eye now which can be difficult to go away. The doctor is recommending that we remove her eye. We will work on treating the ulcer while deciding what to do and when to do it. She was such a good little trooper today with some lengthy car rides. So she got a pup cup at Culver's and French fries too! She was very happy to be back at home.

Update on Angel Cake. She went to the vet this week and the sutures that were holding her eyelids closed were taken out, and she doesn't need to wear a cone anymore! Almost all the swelling and inflammation is gone. However, there is still no vision in that eye, and a muscle has not healed so her eye faces outwards and without that muscle she can't turn it to face forward. We have been referred to a specialist in the twin cities, and are heading there first thing tomorrow morning to see if there is anything more we can do for her.

Update: Lemon is going to a wonderful home!
Little Lemon is sad. She is the only puppy without a special family of her own.

Update on baby Angel Cake: she went in yesterday to see our primary doctor. The swelling has gone down but not all the way yet. The doctor is worried about her regaining her vision but for now we have to be patient and give it more time to heal. Now today one of the sutures holding her eyelids closed popped so she is going in first thing tomorrow morning to have them sewn shut again. Her eyelids need to stay closed for 2 more weeks. Overall she is acting like a normal puppy, eating drinking, kisses and cuddles, way too playful.

Pupcake is a busy playful little boy, but when he's tired he turns into a big cuddle bug and asks to be lifted on the couch to snuggle and nap. Pupcake is not available.

Update: Angel Cake is home from the hospital and in pretty good spirits. It is too early to tell if she will get her vision back in the injured eye. It is very swollen and stitched shut. I'm pretty sure she can see out of the good eye. She doesn't like wearing the cone but she is walking around and ate food. She is on super strong meds.

This morning has been upsetting and emotional. Little Angel Cake had a boo-boo and injured her eye and she is currently blind. We've been at the ER all day with her and she is in surgery right now as I type this. I don't have any idea of whether she will heal and regain her vision or not. Angel Cake does not have a special family to love her, so I am asking all of you to say a prayer for her. Thank you all, I will keep you updated on how she is doing.

Springer mom, Nikki, is incredibly tolerant and loving to puppies. Here she is nursing not only her 2 big babies, but a bunch of Cocker Spaniel babies too! 🤗
Who wants one of these fun, playful puppies!? 8 1/2 weeks old.
This is how chill they were at the clinic. 🙂
I call the late evening, right before bed the "witching hour". Because the puppies always get really wild and have crazy play sessions. Here's a tiny snippet of tonight's witching hour.
I think it's really important for puppies to have plenty of space to run and play. They need to learn how to use their legs and build strong muscles and bones. They need to feel different textures and smell all kinds of things. Their confidence grows and their little minds expand as they take it all in.
Welcome to Eagle Acres Springers! We are a small hobby farm in western Wisconsin and we offer a couple litters each year of English Springer Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels, and Sprocker Spaniels (springer x cocker). Our Springer Spaniels make fantastic family dogs, always willing to play and equally happy lounging about. They have strong European bloodlines and are a mix of the field and bench styles.
The American Cocker Spaniels are about half the size of the springers, have some different colors, but are still very happy, loyal, cuddle bugs that are thrilled to hunt and play.
All of our dogs are our family pets. They live right in the house with us, sleeping on the beds and couches. They go for car rides, walks in the park, swimming in the stream etc. We love our dogs very much and want them to be as happy as a dog can be.
We have studied and practice the Puppy Culture methods of raising great puppies ready to take on the next chapter of their lives. Our puppies are born and raised in the house and are watched over closely. We strive to keep their areas as clean as possible, changing out bedding frequently and cleaning the floors several times daily. We try to give them as much space as we can so they can have separate areas for eating, sleeping and pottying. Plus, young puppies need room to run, play, explore and wrestle. In warmer weather the puppies get to spend a lot of time outside, smelling and learning about all sorts of things....garden hoses and water, flowers, grass, rocks, wood chips, concrete, steps, chickens, goats etc. In the winter they won't get to see so many outside things so we do our best to teach them about different things in the house. Our ultimate goal is to give them confidence, be well socialized, healthy with strong growing muscles, and happy. The puppies are weaned at 6 weeks and their mother will no longer be spending the night with them. But she will spend as much time with them as she'd like during the day. She will tell the puppies to stop trying to suckle, then spend time washing them, wrestling, and watching over them. She lets us know when she needs a break. I believe it is important for the puppies to have their mother's influence as long as possible. She can teach them things that humans cannot, and it is good for their social and emotional development to have her with them. The puppies will also meet and spend time with the other adult dogs. They learn respect and social hierarchy from the adult dogs. And of course, the puppies get lots and lots of cuddles and play with their humans!
All puppies are required to be spayed or neutered by 8 months of age!
Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old for springers and 10 weeks old for cockers. If I feel any puppy needs to stay here a little longer for any reason I will let their family know.
They will be rehomed on a first come/first serve basis. You are welcome to make a deposit of $200 towards the puppy of your choice, this will "hold" the puppy for you. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the puppy goes home. All deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions.
All puppies must be paid for in full before they leave. We prefer cash or Zelle Pay. If you would like to pay with a check then we require the check to be at our home no less than 1 week before pick-up.
Every puppy will be dewormed several times before leaving, have rear dew claws removed, first shots, a health exam by a vet, a stinky blankie, several days worth of puppy food, a toy. The puppies usually have their tails docked but occasionally don’t and some day we might make the call to leave all tails natural. The puppies from registered litters will come with AKC Limited registration.
You are welcome to come and visit your puppy, we just ask that you please set up an appointment ahead of time. We often get asked if a family can bring their other dog to meet the puppies. There are several reasons why we ask that you please leave your dogs at home. First, the puppies do not receive vaccinations until 7 weeks old so we cannot take a risk of them getting sick. Second, the mother dogs are often protective of their pups and may not take kindly to a strange dog in the house. Third, most adult dogs do not care for young puppies and will most likely ignore the puppy or growl at it. Fourth, your dog will be so overwhelmed with all the smells and other dogs at my house that it might not even notice the puppy. And fifth, this is a hobby farm with many other animals and we cannot take a chance of any of them or your dog getting hurt. Thank you!
