appointment when your pet can be assessed in person or if there is more time required than expected when the appointment starts. The length of your appointment is approximate and is also subject to change. Please wait to return for pick up until you are notified that your pet is ready. Appointment start times are essential to reducing the amount of time each dog spends in the salon and for a quiet and calm spa experience. The Modern Mutt provides one on one care so that it's easier for your dog to feel comfortable. Reducing the number of dogs in the salon at one time from separate families plays an integral part in the safety and relaxation for your pet. In consideration of keeping the number of dogs in the salon at one time to a minimum, you will be welcomed into the salon at the exact time of your appointment provided an earlier drop off time was not previously agreed on. Unless previously discussed between pet owner and myself, late arrival to your appointment 10 minutes past your appointment time could result in a need to reschedule. Please keep pet's on a leash or in a crate until they are inside the salon. If you forgot your leash you can text or call on arrival and will be provided one to use. During grooming hours, (10AM-7PM) do not knock on the door as it can cause any pet to suddenly move or become anxious and excited. Grooming requires sharp tools to be in use therefore limited movement, calmness, and concentration for both pet and stylist are extremely important. Text or call on arrival. If your pet is exhibiting signs of injury or major health concerns the groomer may refuse service, suggest a veterinary visit, and discuss a better time to reschedule when your pet is cleared by the veterinarian for safe grooming. Some pets may be too anxious or aggressive for safe grooming and may also be referred to the veterinarian or refused service.
