On November 2nd, I will be set up as a vendor at the Milestones Dog Training Club agility trial at Joshica's Planet Canine in Elkhart!

I'll have a variety of fitness/wellness items available for purchase or just come talk fitness with me and how it can benefit your agility dog or any dog for that matter.

***If you know there's something you really want to buy or are very interested in, please let me know ahead of time so I can place some pre-orders to have items in hand at the trial.

I am a retailer for:
- Blue-9 (think KLIMBs, Propels - one of my favorite items btw)
- Cato Outdoors (Boards or Planks if there's enough interest. Again some of my favorite pieces of equipment)

Planet Canine is extremely excited to collaborate with Milestones Dog Training Club to offer our community a basic agility class!

Please read entire post before signing up!!

Class requirements are as follows:

•Dogs must over 6 months of age
•Dogs must have completed a level one obedience or equivalent
•Dogs must be up to date on vaccines and have proof of vaccines or titers
•Dogs must be able to be crated for set up and tear down
•All owners must be willing to help with set up and tear down - this is mandatory
•Dogs must be on leash the entire class

Agility is an extremely fun sport that can challenge both dogs and owners. Whether you are planning on entering shows or just a fun activity to help you and your dog stay fit this class will be a blast for all participants! This class will be covering the basics of agility. This means that dogs will be learning how to climb on equipment, go over jumps, through tunnels, and owners will be learning the rules! Each class will begin with setting up the equipment. It is mandatory for all owners to participate in set up and tear down. There will be down time between turns and dogs must be able to be crated while receiving direction and helping others!

Join us for Fitness Fun with Mandi 💥

Joshica's Planet Canine and Milestones Dog Training Club are excited to offer a workshop with FeverFit K9! It's going to be an exciting 2024!

There are a lot of variables when it comes to designing a workout routine for your dog.

How do you know what exercises to include, how many to use, what areas of the body to focus on and how many times to do them?

Come learn about all of this and more! We'll talk through the factors that make up a balanced exercise routine and put them into practice. Additionally, we'll cover warm-up and cool down procedures, safety, proper form and signs of fatigue.

This workshop will be taught by Mandi Juarez CCFT of FeverFit K9.

Milestones Dog Training Club and Joshica’s Planet Canine are excited to be offering a competition obedience seminar taught by Lizette Busquets! The seminar will be a day filled with the following:

AM session
a) Introduction to AKC, ASCA, and UKC obedience rules, titles, and entry forms.
b) Training tips and exercises to prepare for Novice Obedience. This will review heeling, recalls, stand, stays, fronts and finishes). Students will work with their dogs.

PM Session
a) Basics of Obedience Handling: How to Become a Better Partner for Your Dog. Students will work with and without their canine companions.
b) Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify the Problem, Identify the Cause, Adapt Training.
c) Looking into the Future: When to Start Open Training.

Working spots are $120 (these spots are limited). Dogs must have basic obedience, walk on a lead without pulling, know sit and down, and have started on stays.

Audit spots are $60

📣 INTRODUCTION TO CANINE FITNESS WORKSHOP

Fitness is important for all dogs and essential to keeping your canine companion active as long as possible! Help your dog reduce the chance of injury while improving strength, balance and coordination.

This workshop will be taught by Mandi Juarez CCFT of FeverFit K9 and focus on a variety of fitness exercises and how to progress them.

It will also address the key components of a good fitness routine, warm-up and cool down procedures, safety, proper form and signs of fatigue.

This workshop is suitable for all life stages - puppies through seniors.
