Big News!!!

Beginning on 2/1/2024 we are changing how Cotton Meadows operates. Key to this change is that we will no longer offer Full Care Board. On that date we will begin to offer four levels of care.

Pasture Board: Your horses(s) will be in one of our more distant fields and includes hay in the field and pond access or a water trough if there is no pond in the field

Full-care Pasture Board: Your horse(s) will be closer to the barn and this option adds daily feeding of 2lbs of Enrich, a cursory health inspection, a run-in shed and pond access or a water trough if there is no pond in the field. (blanketing not included)

Full-care Pasture Board with a Self-care Stall: Includes all of the features of our Full-care Pasture Board plus an assigned stall and manure disposal (bring up/turnout for feeding, stall cleaning, shavings & blanketing not included).

Full Care Pasture Board with a Self-care Stall Plus. This option adds morning bring-up, feeding in the stall, hay and shavings. (Evening feeding & turnout, stall cleaning, and blanketing not included).

Angela Machemer remains as our farm manager and resident trainer and we foresee that her successful training program will continue with little disruption from this change. We hope that one of these levels of care is right for you and look forward to serving you and your horses needs.

Treat yourself and your horse to full care stall or retirement pasture board this winter and stay for the facilities and community through the year!

CMF is an upscale, full service boarding facility which boasts a large indoor arena with mirrors & large ceiling fans, a large outdoor stadium ring, a lighted outdoor dressage arena, horse-friendly stalls with rubber mats & fans, large derby/cross country field with jumps up to novice height, and much more! Our facility is geared towards eventing and dressage with an in house trainer and regular clinics with local and out of state trainers, ample turn out over 75 acres with multiple turn out options and quality hay and grain provided.

CMF is in north AL, convenient to Huntsville, Madison, and Athens and is owned and operated by Debi & Kevin Crowley. Debi is a lifelong equestrian having competed in eventing through the Advanced level of eventing and having earned her USDF gold medal in dressage. The staff at CMF are also experienced equestrians as well as courteous and helpful.

Congratulations to all our riders who competed at TIP championships and Middle Tennessee Pony Club HT this weekend. Savannah Emerson Kennedy got Champion in the Starter Division and 6th overall in first level dressage at TIP!

Over at Middle TN Pony Club HT our team of 6 horses all our horse and rider combos did great! Debi Crowley's Vince Van Go came in 4th in novice with Angela Machemer and CCS Shadowfax came in 2nd with Monica Kenyon who was also going to her first rated horse trial.

We can't thank Doug Payne , all our participants, auditors and support staff enough for an absolutely fantastic clinic!

Debi Crowley young homebreds, Vince Van Go ridden by Angela Machemer and Valiant Morning ridden by Lee Johnson Hoof Solution worked hard to step into Vandiver's shoes.

On the other hand, "Quinn," as Vandiver is known around the farm, continues to love retirement - tearing it up in the cross country field with Debi.

Cotton Meadows Farm in Elkmont, AL (just across the state line on I65) is looking to have 5* Eventer and Olympian, Doug Payne, out for a clinic!

Dates would be September 18 and 19 (Monday-Tuesday). With a party at the farm Monday night.

We will have limited stalls or paddocks, camping in trailers is ok, however, we do not have hook-ups.

Cost will be $400 for 2 days, $250 for 1 day, and auditing is free.

The southern summer didn't stop us from having fun off property last month. Besides a ton of trail rides, we had 2 off property shows. Angela Machemer took a fantastic groups of riders to Polar Place Farms. All our riders, from seasoned campaigners to those who this was their first show and cross country school off property, did wonderfully! We can't wait to see what these guys will do in the future. Earlier in the month Mollie took her horse up to the KHP and made her goal of qualifying for the USEA Classic Series at the novice level.
