For those of you that knew or got to work with Miss Tiffanie during Paw Pals, her celebration of life is this Saturday. Paw Pals would not have been Paw Pals without Miss Tiffanie. She was a women of many talents, and although she wasn’t a certified teacher, she definitely was great at it. The way she worked with our students and taught them about all things animals is something not many people can do. I will always cherish the memories I have of Miss Tiffanie and Paw Pals! Hope to see some of you on Saturday in celebration of her life!

To all my former Paw Pal students, volunteers, and parents

We learned of some devastating news this week that our wonderful Miss Tiffanie who helped run the Paw Pals program along side Miss Q, passed away.
Tiffanie had such a huge impact on so many of our lives. She made the Paw Pals program the incredible program it was.

Paw Pals has not been running since the pandemic so many of our former Paw Pal students are in High School now. If you know a former Paw Pals students please let them know about Miss Tiffanie as many of them loved her so and looked forward to seeing her each week that I know they would want to know and maybe find ways to honor Tiffanie and her love for animals, people, and the community in some way.

We learned many things from Miss Tiffanie from how to care for and feed baby Kittens, to how to interact with shelter dogs, how shelter animals are cared for on a daily basis, to building fences for live stock. But most importantly Miss Tiffanie taught us to love and care for all living beings no matter how big or small and that when we care, love and help others we help the world ❤️

You will be so greatly missed Miss Tiffanie! Thank you for everything!

While I am so sad that our 2020 Leeds Elementary Paw Pals students did not get to finish the project they started due to Covid, I am happy to share that today the project has finally been completed. Mr. Josh and his crew went out today to finish the overhang for the dog run! It is beautiful! While I am sad our students were not the ones to complete the project, I must say I am so beyond proud of that group of 5th graders! Without them this project would have never been started! They put in a good 3 days of working digging holes and nailing the frame together! But most importantly they put in a month of raising funds in order to be able to buy the supplies for the project! Without those 40 Leeds Paw Pal students, this project would have never even been started! Today it is finished and while I wish all 40 of my students could have been there to see the finish product, know that it is because of their love and dedication that it is even there!
If anyone gets a chance to stop by CCAS take a look at their new overhang and if you see a former Paw Pals student, please thank them for their hard work and dedication to service! ❤️

🐕Today We Raised our “Woof!”🐕

Due to Covid, our Leeds Elementary Paw Pals After School Humane Education Program had to halt their project last year. They had built a fabulous roof overhang so that our volunteers and animals had shade while they were in the play yard. Well today our much anticipated roof was completed!!!

We want to thank ASHE Home Improvements for managing this generous project and to Paw Pals for the work that was done in preparation for this exciting day!!!

Parents of students in Paw Pals-
I am slowly making phone calls to touch base with you and gather information from you before the school year ends. Although we have no plans yet, I will do everything I can to make sure your child gets to finish the service work they started with Paw Pals even if it does not happen until next school year. While I cannot move forward with making any kind of plans, for now I just want to gather information and touch base with you before the school year ends!
We are not finished, and where there is a will there is a way!
Please be expecting a phone call from me between now and the next three weeks! Thank you!
-Mrs. Q

Paw Pals 2nd visit to Cecil County Animal Services was a success! With 8 different groups working on 8 different projects/tasks it was a busy day! Students were very excited to find out that the dog they took pictures with last week that was posted on the CCAS page, got adopted! Hoping we can get Mocha adopted this week! Between digging, building, Kong stuffing, meal prepping, and cat toy making I would say it was a pretty good day! Even Mrs. Veasey showed up to help today!!!! If you know/see these kids, please let them know what a difference they are making for their community and the animals! So proud of everyone involved in this program! Especially the students! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. TIFFANIE!!!

Today is Paw Pals 2nd visit to Cecil County Animal Services! Students will be broken into 8 groups, with a volunteer running each group/project. One group will be working on the renovations to the cat patio, another will be starting the chicken coop construction, another will be starting the overhang for the dog run construction, another will be working on building agility equipment for the dogs, another group will be making cat toys, another group will be working with Ms. Tiffanie learning about the animals, another will be making Kong’s for the dogs, and another group will be preparing the dinners for the animals! It is a lot to do in only an hour, but with 41 motivated students, we got this! Today is going to be a great day!
