Thumb Animal Shelter The purpose of this page is to advertise all these wonderful dogs that are looking for their "fur-ever" homes. Saturday 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. THANK YOU !!!

canned dog food
chewy treats - to keep them busy. :-)

if you would like to donate any items you can drop them off at the shelter or if you cant make it out here to drop items off just send us a message and we will arrange a pick-up.

Puppies 1 & 2
Border Collie/Shar Pei/Beagle mixes
These 2 pups find themselves in need of active forever families. They are 4.5 months old. They both get along with other dogs. They have been dewormed and started on puppy vaccinations. They are active playful girls. They like to go outside but always glad to come back in and enjoy some nap time. If interested please give us a call 989-375-4204

NEED THIS FILLED
We had a cancellation for tomorrow, Wed, Jan 22nd. We have 1 spot open. This is a BAD AXE meeting location and also Cass City but can also meet along the way to Vassar.
The price is $65.00 for males. Will be meeting in BAD AXE in the morning at 7:15am. We will transport the cat to Vassar for spay/neuter and then bring them back the same day. Cats will need to be picked up from the same location at approx. 3:30pm. Cats must be in a carrier or live trap. Payment has to be made before we leave with the cat. Rabies vaccination is available for $25.00. FVR vaccine is also available for $25.00. Once the spot is filled, we will update the post and will update you in the comments.
Please, NO FOOD after midnight for these appointments!

As most of us have seen, the weather is going to get nasty cold. PLEASE make sure your outside animals have proper shelter, lots of straw, extra food since they burn calories to stay warm, fresh, not frozen water. If possible please bring your cats/dogs etc inside. Set up an area in a garage, back porch, extra bedroom, etc...
Times are tuff right now. If you are in need of straw but are unable to finacially purchase some PLEASE call Chris to work on getting you some 989-550-8236

Meet Mister Blue
Blue was brought to the shelter by the police department. He had a habit of getting loose and investigating the neighborhood. This became a problem for the neighbors.

Blue is a nice boy. He is strong, having Shepherd in his bloodline, and he loves to run, most likely attributed to the Husky bloodlines. This is why we are saying that Blue must have a secure fenced area

He loves people and figures that everyone who comes to the shelter is coming to see and visit with him. They all stop and visit with him. It must be his beautiful blue eyes. He is 2-3yrs old.
