The purpose of this page is to advertise all these wonderful dogs that are looking for their "fur-ever" homes. Saturday 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. THANK YOU !!!

The shelter is always in need of:

Paper towel
Bleach
canned dog food
chewy treats - to keep them busy. :-)

if you would like to donate any items you can drop them off at the shelter or if you cant make it out here to drop items off just send us a message and we will arrange a pick-up.

Meet Shep
Shep, for lack of a better name, came to us after being found stray, standing in the middle of the road. Car door was opened, and he jumped right in. Surrounding homes and areas checked, and no one knew the dog.
Shep has what appears to be an old injury to his back left toes. He is a friendly boy. Thinking around 3yrs old. Likes eveyone and loves it when they stop and say Hi and give him a pat and a treat too.
Shep was posted on Facebook, thinking for sure his owners would come forward, but no one did.

This little girl was surrendered to the shelter, along with two of her littermates.
She is very social, good with kids, Love to be around people. Puppy shots and wormed. her sisters were adopted, so she wants her home too.

MALES ONLY
We had a cancellation for tomorrow, Wed, July 2nd. We have 1 spot for tomorrow. We also have 5 spots July 30th for MALES ONLY. This is BAD AXE & SEBEWAING meeting locations.
The price is $65.00 for males. Will be meeting in BAD AXE in the morning at 7:15am. We will transport the cat to Vassar for spay/neuter and then bring them back the same day. Cats will need to be picked up from the same location at approx. 3:30pm. Cats must be in a carrier or live trap. Payment has to be made before we leave with the cat. Rabies vaccination is available for $25.00. FVR vaccine is also available for $25.00. Once the spots are filled, we will update the post and will update in the comments.
Please, NO FOOD after midnight for these appointments!

These little ones are looking for families to love them and make them part of the family. They are reported to be Jack Russell Terrier & Dachshund mixes. They are 8wks old. They are well socialized. They love playing and then a good nap. If you are interested in learning more or meeting them, you can call the shelter 989-375-4204, or you may stop in and meet them.

WHISKER POKER RUN
Steel Horse Ranch in CARO MI is doing a Whisker Poker Run tomorrow June 28th, 2025 starting at 11am to raise funds for our friends at Cass River Pet Friendz to help animals in need in Tuscola County. Cass River does amazing work tackling spaying & neuter of animals in need. Ride 90 miles through the thumb along with a special stop at the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Rev up your motorcycle and support a great cause or just stop in at the Ranch and say Hi to show your support.
