We are grateful to have our power back on and not be the destination for all the rescue aircraft flying directly over our property. Anyone who still has their house and family members in Western North Carolina is blessed.

Four large coon-hound type dogs cruised along the edge of our property just after sunrise. Dogs are the #1 killer of livestock so we are thankful to have good fences and livestock guardian dogs on duty. #

Puppies & Free Range Eggs

David, Kristia and Savannah are the human farm hands while Sunshine does her part by watching the sky for predators. Pictured elsewhere on our page are Henry and Sheba who guard the livestock and farm.

We have a flock of Orpington and Ameraucana hens that forage all around our farm and lay eggs with rich yellow yokes high protein whites. Most of the eggs are used right on our farm, but we have room for a few buyers if contacted first.

Occasionally we have puppies for sale. Our most recent litter are Golden Pyrenees from Sunshine and Henry. The puppies that follow the Golden Retriever are better suited for companionship, while those that favor the Great Pyrenees can serve as companions or livestock guardians.

Our latest project is clearing the north end of our property to make a new home for Savannah’s miniature horse and paddocks for goats. This area had a number of trees toxic to livestock. The wood is all going toward heating our home.
