Introduction

“Pack it up, we are moving to Missoula!” That was what was told to me in late January of this year. It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to move to Montana. After creating a successful practice in Western North Carolina, that dream came a reality this winter when my wife accepted a job in Missoula.

I’ll admit, knowing I would be starting a new Equine Podiatry/Farrier service from scratch did make me nervous. I’ll take the struggle to be able to live in the “Last Best Place”. IT’S FREAKING (my wife changed this word for me) MONTANA!

Why am I different?


  • I show up on time. Across the country, most horse owners struggle with farriers that are either late to appointments or just don’t “show up”! I think that is one of the most important “services” I can offer. Your time is important, and should be maximized. Waiting around for your farrier to “show up” and the soundness of your horse should be the least of your worries. Rescheduling your next appointment ensures we both know and are vested in the improvement or maintenance of the work completed each session.
