We had a LONG day yesterday. I am happy to say Milly and all 12 of her puppies are doing amazing!!

I thought we were done at 11 pups but I woke up and found another!

We have 6 reds & 6 blacks. 5 girls and 7 boys. We have messaged everyone on our deposit lists. They will have up to 3 weeks to decided what puppy they will bring home. 🤎

Don’t let that stop you from messaging me and getting some info!

We also plan on posting our website today/ tomorrow! So keep a look out 👀

I will be making some posts introducing each pup soon!

I have been getting asked what is MDR1?

These posters do a great way explaining how this gene can be passed from parents and how it can affect your dog/pups. This gene is a VERY common in livestock dogs as you can see in the poster. Aussies/Americans frequently have this gene.

This does not mean your dog isn’t “healthy”. This gene just means they can have a hard time with certain medications. This can be scary especially if you were not aware they had this gene. This is why it’s so IMPORTANT to test your dogs

I have one dog with the MDR1 gene and she is just as healthy as any of my full panel clear dogs. The main thing I have to do is tell the vet she is a carrier and do my own research on what medication she is given.

If you feel as if the vet you are going to does not take you seriously when you mention your dog is or could be a MDR1 carrier and doesn’t take it seriously. LEAVE and go to a new vet. There is no reason to loose a dogs life because it’s “not common to have reactions to these drugs”

Did you know that even if your dog isn’t a MDR1 carrier can still have the same effects from those drugs? That is why most people even if the dog is not a MDR1 carrier most breeders/ owners act as if they are.

We would rather be safe than sorry so we do treat all of our dogs as if they COULD have MDR1. 🤎🤎

- How do I get the best price for flying a puppy to me?

The best way is booking a flight sooner than later! The closer and closer we get to delivering the pups tickets will go up. So I recommend staying in contact with me as much as possible. If you put a deposit down we can book tickets asap to get you the best price. ( we would estimate 8-9 weeks from pups due date.

This is so heartbreaking. Why we must be careful who we give our locations to and why we meet most people outside the home & we limit who we allow to come visit us/ why we have an application for our pups.

I Absolutely LOVE how our Roper X Josie litter turned out!
Although I LOVED the looks & personalities from that litter. We are looking 👀 for an outside stud to use on Josie. This would be on 2025!

Pup update formally popper & cheers who are now Rio & cova These guys owners are always complementing how smart these 2 are 💓

It was a Beautiful day 😍 just a short clip of our walk! You can kinda see the size difference between these 3!

So we bought some dog puzzles to try with our pack! Roper says he would rather just snuggle 🥰 Josie on the other hand LOVES them and is AWSOME at them! I need to try and get a video 😅 Milly will do them but you have to bring her back to it/ she needs to be in the right mood! Tesla also just wanted snuggles/ would rather just do tricks for the treats.

Happy New year! 2023 was a great year for Ark Acres we added 3 additions to the family/ Program Roper, Josie, & Milly ❤️ We also had 4 litters this year starting of with the chip litter who turns one in just a couple days! Then since august we had 3 more the boot litter, soda litter, & the new years! A total of 25 pups 💓 ( don’t be afraid to show off those pups in the comments) With how busy the last week has been with holidays the last two pups from the soda litter went to their forever homes & I just havnt gotten to posting❤️ The new years litter turns 8 weeks tomorrow and will be going to their forever homes this week 😭❤️ ( we also have our vet appointment tomorrow) 2024 is going to be a fantastic year!
