KCFOA was founded in 2002 to help prevent the pet overpopulation problem. Since 2006 we have worked JOINTLY with the city of Ellensburg Animal Shelter to help them save lives of animals who ended up in the shelter and would not be adopted due to low adoption numbers. We help people and pets through our low-income spay/neuter program which services the ENTIRE county, not just one particular city. A

lthough we work hard, we have very limited volunteers and really need new help. Ways to help include: monthly animal transport (saves animals from euthanasia), TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) of feral cats (save cats from being killed and kittens from being born), helping to write a newsletter, taking care of paperwork, organizing fundraisers, helping out at fundraisers, bottle feeding of kittens and FOSTERING--we can't help if there are no fosters :(
