Puppy Artemis just turned 5 months old and is doing great with her focus work. This was her first day of the "leave-it" cue and she worked up to ignoring a fresh rotisserie chicken, even after we gave her a little sample to get excited over!

Lulu was a door bolter. The green grass and squirrels and neighbors was always so exciting that it was hard not to enthusiastically greet them in person whenever the opportunity came up, but with a little engagement and some communication exercises, Lulu can now wait calmly and only goes out when invited. Great job Lulu!

Bailey had some stick guarding issues. Here, he happily gives it up with no treats needed and brings it back when thrown. This is after just two sessions. Great job Bailey!

Rainy days like today are perfect for alleviating boredom with a food stuffed chew toy like a frozen Kong, full of wet and dry dog food and a few treats. Capping it with a little peanut butter is a favorite addition as well!

In 2020 we temporarily paused our private training options because the adoption rate at our local shelters, especially Small Miracles Cat and Dog Rescue, grew faster than anyone could have predicted, and helping those pups transition into their forever homes took all of the time that we had available.

Now that the past two year's adoption rush has finally slowed, we will be re-opening to offer behavior consultations and private in-home training to the public starting in June!

Samson lost his best friend and became fearful and isolated during the pandemic. After just six weeks of social exercises, he is now enjoying life and happily making new friends around the neighborhood!
