Label check! 🍬🧾Sometimes our pets get into items that aren't intended for them 🤷 That's why it's so important to know what's in your cabinets! 🚫 Xylitol is a harmful chemical compound often found in gums, sugar-free foods, toothpaste, and drinks. If you use items that contain this ingredient, be sure to store them well out of your pet's reach 🐶🐱

It's the final countdown! Today is November 7th which means cat week is coming to a close. It will be unfortunate to see it go but more pet holiday's are always just around the corner. On Oct. 18, 1963, a French cat named Félicette became the first and only feline to ever travel to space. She launched atop a Véronique AG1 rocket and flew nearly 100 miles (157 kilometers) above the Earth, where she briefly experienced weightlessness. What an astronomical achievement for cat kind. Well, I hope everyone enjoyed cat week and stay tuned for more holidays and other information.

It's time to thrive because its day five! Did you know that a tower was built in Scotland for a cat named Towser in commemoration of her killing over 30,000 mice throughout her lifetime. That's a lot of mice. I guess Towser was a picky eater. Day 6 the final day of cat week will be making an appearance tomorrow so make sure you swing by.

Day 4 and so much more! Domestic cats are usually considered to be quite small and dainty creatures. But did you know the world’s longest cat was a Maine C**n called Stewie, and was measured at 48.5 inches? Whereas, the record for the tallest cat belonged to Arcturus at a whopping 19.05 inches tall! Those are some big cats. Time flies but don't forget to swing by tomorrow for day five of cat week.

The wait is over, day 3 of cat facts has arrived! A group of kittens is called a “kindle.” Why are they called a kindle you may ask? The use of the word "kindle" to describe a family of kittens comes from the Middle English word kindelen, meaning "to give birth to" and kindel, meaning "offspring." Personally, I think the reason should be because "They kindle a fire of love in our hearts" but I'm not in charge of scientific names. Day 4 coming tomorrow so make sure to stop by for more!

Day 2 of cat facts coming at you! Did you know that a cat could be a politician? Stubbs (April 12, 1997 – July 21, 2017) was a cat who was the mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, from July 1997 until his death. Stubbs must of been a pretty good mayor because he was in office for 20 years. Day 3 coming tomorrow so come back here to find out even more fun facts about cats. 😀
