On Monday, March 10th, we had the pleasure of hosting the second grade Girl Scout troop from Veterans Elementary for a visit and tour!

Dr. Soverns showed the scouts how to identify normal and abnormal findings with a complete head-to-toe physical exam, gave them a tour of our exam rooms, treatment area, surgical suite and radiology room and let them explore displays of xrays we've taken and interesting things removed surgical from pets in the past.

We can definitely say they enjoyed their time and learned quite a lot!!

Sweet dog in need of a foster, foster to adopt or furever home!! (PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT COUNTRYSIDE WITH INQUIRIES!)

He’s a 2 year old mixed breed, ~ 70 lbs, and has big puppy energy. Loves chasing balls, playing tug, wrestling with other big dogs, & going on walks. Great with kids, our kids are 6, 4, & 2, and gets along with our 11 year old dog as well.

We began fostering Canyon (name given by PG County shelter) in mid-January with the intention to adopt him. Unfortunately, he’s the first dog I’ve met that I’m allergic to and the allergy is only getting worse with prolonged exposure.

He is adoptable as he was neutered on Feb 10, and has made a full recovery, but he spent 3 months in the PG County shelter before we got him off the urgent (PTS) list and we want try and limit the number of places he has to move around. He’s non-leash reactive, doesn’t have any guarding behaviors around food, and good with small dogs (haven’t cat tested him though).

Yesterday evening, we had some special visitors! The Cub Scouts 🐻 of Pack 305 came to Countryside to learn more about pet care for their program. They are currently learning about common pets and how to care for them, and what better way to supplement their learning with a visit to a vet clinic!! 🏥 🐶🐱

Dr. Soverns absolutely adores educating the next generation of veterinarians and teaching them how to be great pet owners!

A client of ours found this sweet dog off of Summer Hollow Lane near Howard High School.

She seems to be a middle aged to senior aged female dog. White and tan Terrier mix? Not microchipped but was found with a collar and rope like leash attached.
