Small Miracles Cat & Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit focused on finding adoptive homes for stray, surrendered, abandoned and/or homeless cats and dogs in Howard County, Maryland, and beyond. Our shelter is located at: 10236 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Small Miracles has helped find adoptive homes for thousands of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies since 2006.

We have a robust network of volunteers and foster homes who provide needy animals with shelter, socialization, training and necessary veterinary care in preparation for adoption. Visit our website at http://www.smallmiraclesrescue.org
Adoption fees:
Cats - $100
Kittens - $155
Dogs - $350
Microchips for adopted animals available for $30 with lifetime registration. Cardboard carriers are available for $5. Adoptable animals have received a vet exam, vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, flea and tick treatment, de-wormer and stool check. Cats are tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS.

Enjoy a delicious brunch at The Periodic Table - Columbia this Sunday, meet some of our adorable rescue pups looking for their forever homes, and support Small Miracles! Stop by between 11 am and 2 pm to grab a bite/drink, snuggle some pups, bring monetary or in-kind donations, and maybe even apply to adopt your new best friend. (Food or drink purchase not required to participate in the pup meet & greet.)

Another great event sponsored by Tim Carlson and his team at Sergio's Jewelers on January 18th.

The event allows us to bring puppies in who are available for adoption and allow people to meet them and hopefully spur interest in adopting.

We received multiple applications for puppies, Adoptions came from many of them and it was great meeting people who had no idea that Small Miracles was in the neighborhood!

This team and sponsorship is awesome! This was our third event and we can’t wait for the next one. Thank you, Tim again for your sponsorship and donation!

We’ve got 11 adorable rescue puppies who are ready to steal your heart—and a spot on your team! 🐶 And SIX of our MVPs will be at the shelter today (Taco, Fergie, Fatima, Fletch, Tinsel & Twinkle) - with more coming in on Sunday!

Almost 8 weeks ago, we had a BIG day—we rescued 4 mama dogs and their 28 puppies from a shelter in Dallas. Since then, we’ve celebrated the adoption of 2 of the mamas and 20 puppies! 🎉

Now, we’re excited to offer a special opportunity this weekend to meet and apply for the 8 remaining puppies during our adoption hours!

🐾 Saturday/Today (11 AM): Meet Fatima, Fergie, and Fletch
🐾 Sunday (Noon): Meet Felicity, Flo, Tinsel, Twinkle, and Turkey

Plus, Mama Faye (2 years old) is also available for adoption, and Mama Tara (3 years old) will be ready soon! Both are around 40 lbs and looking for their forever homes.

We know we sound like a broken record, but 5 out of the original 11 puppies from the adorable F litter are still looking for their forever homes! 🐾 Fatima, Fletch, and Fergie will be available to meet during Thursday’s adoption hours starting at 5 PM. These smart, sweet pups are eager to find their forever families (if their fosters can part with them 😉)!

The F litter is now 10+ weeks old, and their mom Faye, a 40 lb that looks like a terrier/cattle dog mix, has been amazing. (We’re not sure about dad’s breed.) These pups made the journey all the way from Texas and have been with us in Maryland since early December.

Help! We continue to be very short on volunteers to walk dogs EVERY day at 9 am, noon and 6 pm! This morning and the past two nights, we've only had one volunteer to help staff walk all of the dogs. We make sure they get their needs met, but if we have volunteers, they can get longer walks and have fun in the SNOW! Plus then staff can focus on other needs at the shelter. This is Tiff from Monday evening after the big snow. She's a 2 year old sweet mama dog of our "G" litter puppies - only 36 lbs! She's noisy in her crate, but get her outside and she'll show you her true personality. If you aren't ready to adopt, how about walking and giving love to some puppers? Just stop by 10236 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City - you don't have to commit to a specific day or time, just come help. Thank you! (Volunteer applications are on our website, or fill one out when you arrive - it won't take long.)

Thank you to volunteers that came in yesterday despite the snow to help us get all of the dogs walked! Sassy arrived from Kentucky on Saturday, so good chance this was her first time in the snow - and she LOVED it! We need volunteers to walk the dogs 365 days/year at 9, noon and 6, and the more volunteers we have, the more time each dog can spend playing outside! Stop by today - or any day! This is a first for us. We took 27 dogs and puppies from Dallas and they were flown up for us. The wings of rescue flew then up and we picked them up from Frederick. We are hoping that it will increase our adoptions. We have lots of little dogs for you to pick from. We will get them on petfinder soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
