Meet Sweetheart Rose🌹

Rose is a 1 year old hound/staffy mix. She is a true love bug with people but the shelter stress is getting to her. We are looking for a foster to adopt for her with no other dogs and no young children. She still has puppy tendencies but staff is certain she can blossom into an amazing doggie in the right environment! Can you help this sweet girl?

Remember the amazing Mama Faye who arrived from Texas on 12/9 with her litter of 11 puppies? The puppies AND Faye are available for adoption!

1️⃣ Come to our adoption event at Sergio's Jewelers TOMORROW (Saturday) between 10-4 to meet ALL available F puppies, plus 4 puppies from the G litter! (10132 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City)

2️⃣ Submit an application via email to [email protected]. If you are ready to commit to a specific puppy, just list it in your email, and we'll set up an appointment after you are approved. If you'd like to get pre-approved, then come meet puppies tomorrow, indicate that in your email.

If you come Saturday to Sergio's and buy any jewelry, they will give a portion of the proceeds to Small Miracles rescue, so it is a win-win!

Sweet Topper is a 1 year old blind and deaf doodle that we would like to keep in a home - whether it is a forever home (adopter), a foster-to-adopt arrangement, or simply someone to foster him. He is in a home now, but he does not like to be alone, so he is coming back to the shelter if we cannot find a spot for him. The current foster thinks he will do better with another dog or a person home most of the time.

Can you help? Help! We continue to be very short on volunteers to walk dogs EVERY day at 9 am, noon and 6 pm! This morning and the past two nights, we've only had one volunteer to help staff walk all of the dogs. We make sure they get their needs met, but if we have volunteers, they can get longer walks and have fun in the SNOW! Plus then staff can focus on other needs at the shelter.

This is Tiff from Monday evening after the big snow. She's a 2 year old sweet mama dog of our "G" litter puppies - only 36 lbs! She's noisy in her crate, but get her outside and she'll show you her true personality.

If you aren't ready to adopt, how about walking and giving love to some puppers? Just stop by 10236 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City - you don't have to commit to a specific day or time, just come help. Thank you! (Volunteer applications are on our website, or fill one out when you arrive - it won't take long.)

We are in need of used towels again please!!!

Thank you to volunteers that came in yesterday despite the snow to help us get all of the dogs walked! Sassy arrived from Kentucky on Saturday, so good chance this was her first time in the snow - and she LOVED it! We need volunteers to walk the dogs 365 days/year at 9, noon and 6, and the more volunteers we have, the more time each dog can spend playing outside! Stop by today - or any day! (Walkers must be 18 years or older for liability reasons.)

We are so grateful to Wings of Rescue for flying 15 dogs and 3 puppies to us from Dallas, Texas last weekend! This photo shows one of our dedicated staff carrying sweet Tiff to our van.

Tiff has the BEST head tilt! She is super friendly and is mom to the "G" puppies that will be available for adoption in about a week. She is still available for adoption, so stop by the shelter today (Friday) between 11-3, Saturday 11-4 or Sunday 12-3. We have a bunch of other great dogs and cats too - plus we'll be bringing in some puppies from foster care over the weekend, so keep an eye out for that post.

This weekend, Wings of Rescue takes off with our first flight of the year! While we’re busy preparing for flights out of \Merced, Bakersfield, Riverside, Mobile, and Dallas/Fort Worth, heading to Washington, Canada, Utah, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland, this weekend’s flight is just the beginning of a year filled with lifesaving missions.
