First, I'm/ we're so grateful for each of you and what you bring to the team. I love experiencing you interacting with the rescued animals and lil goats.

Second, with the additions of Lettie, Charlie, Otis, and the 9 momma goats we have additional needs.

1) Feed & water goat nurseries 1, 2, and
3. 1 mug for each momma=9 mugs.
2) Feed & water:
Lettie 3/4lb Total Equine & 3/4lb mini
Pony.
Charlie 1/2lb mini pony
Otis 3/4lb mini pony
3) Muck Lettie & Otis's stalls
4) We also need to check George's stall
for eggs and see if it needs mucking.

We are finished with kidding season! SHARONA had a beautiful little girl! Steph and Maria from our team were here to see her shortly after she was born. We weren’t able to love on her as she was cold and needed to sit under the heat lamp, but she’s gorgeous! We ended with 9 doelings and 6 bucklings. They are all so very loving with the funniest personalities and differences, but the boys get the medal for being over achievers. They will sit in your lap for hours being loved on and pampered. They will literally jump up into your arms and lay down or pat at your leg demanding you pick them up.

This little girl will be added to the raffle for naming, so that’s 1 more chance you have to be a winner! There are now 8 names to be picked in one raffle with 8 winners!

OTIS BLANKETS HAS BEEN PURCHASED!

LETTIE AND CHARLIE STILL NEED ONE!

This family is in need of winter blankets as it is snowing today. 🥶

Lettie needs a 50” or 51” blanket. Charlie needs a 34” or 36" blanket. Otis needs a 48" blanket. Closest size you can get to these if you can’t find exact.

Yall this girl is the sweetest chicken ever! Shes only 6-8 weeks old but already weighs around 5 pounds and fell off the meat truck heading to Pilgrams here in Ellijay more than likely 😓.

She loves to cuddle and have her neck and face rubbed softly. She is so content and calm. I’ve got some chicken diapers ordered for her as she will be in the house for at least the next 2 weeks. She was super sick, cold and scared but after some antibiotics and some loving today, she has perked up and is quite the cuddle buddy ❤️.

‼️ HE’S HOME AND WE COULDNT BE MORE EXCITED TO GET HIS NEW LIFE STARTED!

When one of our sweet volunteers Steph Veit saw we were doing a fundraiser and that the owner had agreed to let the Jack come to us as well, she immediately called me and placed the first donation. Even though she had only seen pictures of him, it was love at first sight. Her heart was so deeply invested in getting this boy to BHFERS so that he could start his recovery and we decided that we would let her name him. Steph is one of our weekly volunteers and she is always all in for doing whatever is needed around the farm. We are truly blessed to have her and all of our wonderful volunteers. They are a team of truly wonderful humans and I am grateful for every one of them!

LETS WELCOME “OTIS” TO BHFERS!!!

Makes sure to watch to the end! It will for sure make you laugh and smile from ear to ear!

I also want to thank Marty for coming with me to pick him up! I also am pretty sure this is is first time leading an equine and he did fantastic! He watched how I place the rope on him to get him on the trailer and did the exact same thing perfectly!

Well my phone was connected to Bluetooth to the truck so there’s no sound 🤦‍♀️ but WE ARE AT THE VET WITH ATLAS.

I noticed a slight eye irritation yesterday morning but didn’t see anything. This morning I looked again and he did have a small ulcer coming up. We caught it super quick and he’s going to be just fine with some antibiotic eye drops. ❤️

We absolutely love Dr. Kelly at Wayside Animal Hospital!!

Ashton Ann came today to do Jesse’s 4 week hoof trim. We do hers every 4 weeks while we are trying to get them all straight and correct. They are looking soooo much better! She is also no longer 2 legged lame and walking on all 4s pain free!!! She does have a club foot that we will continue to work on but it is no longer causing her any pain 🙌!

We tried to do Lettie’s but we will need backup for her so Ashton will be bringing Brendan next week to do theirs.

Got a call this morning about a chicken in the road.. EVERYONE MEET “LADY LUX”! She got LOTS of “LUCKS” falling off that truck and surviving!

This poor baby escaped the kill truck but is super sick and has a few injuries. Say a prayer that we can save her. I will start her antibiotics once she’s warmed up a little.
