Shadow & Buck
Shadow is a 30 yr old dark bay, 15 hand gelding. He came from a girls horse camp in NW GA and was born there, so heās only had 2 homes his entire life. He does require his feed to be soaked as he is a senior. He is barefoot and does not require shoes.
Buck is a 22 yr old buckskin, 15 hand gelding and came from the same horse camp as Shadow. He is a fun horse who has a big personality. He loves people, dogs, cats, chickens & goats. He has been ridden English (can still be ridden) and more than likely has all the western buttons/training as well.
Both horses will stand tied and are good for the farrier. Both are UTD on all vaccines and coggins and have been dewormed recently.
They are super attached to each other so will need to be adopted together. Would be great for a family with small children or a home that just wants 2 beautiful and sweet horses to love on.
Their owner sadly has to move and cannot take them with her as sheās moving out of the country, so we are helping her find their forever home. We can work with you so that you have time to get prepared for them! We can also keep them here for a little bit if needed!
THESE HORSES ARE NOT FREE AND WILL COME WITH A CONTRACT.

Atlasās Ultrasound
Atlas IS a boy but does have both male and female parts. We will confirm with blood tests that are being sent out. Ultrasound could not find testicles but did find testicular tissue. We will need to schedule an ultrasound on a larger scale or laparoscopic testing to try to find his testes once his blood work comes back.
I know I say she could take my life about a million times, but not only is that telling you itās not a safe place to be, itās also reminding myselfā¦. If at any point she disagreed with where Iām at and what Iām doing, it wouldnāt be a pretty situation. Some people might do this a lot, but I only do this when itās absolutely necessary. Safety always first but the promise I made these horses means more to me. Bless this mare and her trust in meā¦..
Summer Injury
This is the video of Dr. Kelly entering the gouge with her finger. Again, do not watch if you canāt stomach it.
Summers Vet Visit
Summer is back home and doing ok. She is not liking having to stay in a stall but she has to the first 24 hours. Iāll be doing a live here shortly. If youāre not good with injuries, do not watch as Iām going to show her gashes and major hematoma.
We want to thank Wayside Animal Hospital and Dr. Kelly as she was amazing as always! We absolutely love her!!! I love how she brings out the crew for training and exposure to unique circumstances. This is how they learn! Hands on is always the best!
Summer will be in anti-inflammatory meds, antibiotics and pain meds.
