Mark Duncan, one of our amazing volunteers, has some very special fans—our sheep Dolly, Lainey & Willie! 🐑💛

The moment they spotted him, they came running full speed for their favorite treats (and maybe a little extra love too).

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this rescue. The devotion, kindness, and love they show every single animal is truly a blessing. We couldn’t do this without them, and we are so grateful for each and every one of our BHFERS family who gives their time to make a difference. 💕

💖 These are the moments that warm my heart…

💖Watching how much our youngest volunteer, Harper, has learned is truly amazing. She loves BIG, and her heart for animals shines so bright (even though we think kitties might be her favorite 🐱💕).

I hope this love leads her down a path with animals someday—but even if it doesn’t, she’s already learning the kind of lessons that only animals can teach. 🐴🐾🌟

Thank you, Harper, for your dedication! We love you to pieces and are so proud of you!

🌱 Land Clearing for the Future of Our Rescues! 🌱

In just 2 weeks, land clearing begins! We’ve been blessed with an incredible price from a mulching company, but we can only afford to clear 4–5 acres at this time. Our goal is 7 acres total, which would give us:
✨ Two additional 3-acre pastures
✨ One dedicated 1-acre quarantine pasture

Clearing all 7 acres now will make a huge difference:
✅ Healthier, rotating pastures to grow grass and reduce hay costs
✅ Safe separation based on each horse’s unique needs
✅ A prepared site for our future barn — a healing place for horses who deserve love and care 🐴💙

We need just $3,000 more to cover the last 2 days of clearing. We will move forward with 4-5 acres regardless, but with your help, we can finish all 7 and set our rescue up for long-term success.
