Dillan and his Ladies
Best spot ever to sleep! Smart babies!
Well you might know that Willa got out, but you don’t know the full story…
So Willa got out of her enclosure, but it only took about 20 minutes to get her back to safety. David went to let the dogs in and happened to see her in the front pasture. Who only knows how she and the hirses sirvived that. After getting her in, we started walking the fence line to see where she could have gotten out. Well before we saw where, she decided to just show us 🫣.
So off for round 2… it was a strenuous 45 minutes of chasing her through the back pasture trying to keep Altas and Tonto away from her as they were at this point intrigued after running aroud like rabid horses not knowing which direction to go. Let me also tell you something you dont know. After arriving with Willa today, Tonto, the same horse that we now couldnt keep away, went through the perimeter fencing today after noticing there was yet another horse eating TRex in the pen 🙄. It’s a wire fencing that’s low in some areas and he just went over it. So now David and I are freaking out because the horses, except Willow of course because she doesn’t do anything pig related, are running up to the pig snorting and trying to sniff all over her. Then Willa decided to go into the front pasture where Brodhi and friends took off like wild horses and Willa is just walking carelessly while stopping occasionally to graze and grab a bite to eat. She catches on to us yet again and start running father up the pasture. After many negotiations, we finally get her back safely in the pen and I run to the area and guard it like I’m actually going to be able to stop a 200+ pound pig. Luckily I think she was tired and we were able to grab the cattle fencing and put it up…
🍷🍷 Good night folks! 🍷🍷
Atlas can be so playful! He's such a handsome horse. And such a toddler!
Let’s welcome WILLA! Willa is a kunekune and the absolute sweetest and she’s so cute!! She came from a local rescue, Flynn Fields. We are hoping that her and Dixie become the best of friends eventually. Dixie has picked a few fights with her but I believe it’s because she can’t see. She has also never been around another pig before so she’s just a little unsure. Willa is bigger than she is and can definitely hold her own! These 2 babies will live out their lives here at BHFERS!
Sugar!
If you’ve volunteered or spent a good amount of time at the farm, you know who Sugar is. She is the chicken that gets into everything, has to have her nose into everything and has to be a part of everything. She’s also known as my husbands girlfriend because she literally follows him everywhere. She loves car rides especially with David. Sometimes she even lets me ride with them 🤣.
She’s one rotten chicken!
Julia and Katherine
Katherine grooming Julia ❤️. Katherine is our youngest volunteer. She has been taking lessons for a few years and loves being around horses!
Charlie meeting his possible new friends and new home. The first meet wasnt quite what we expected 🫣 and poor Charlie got chased around the arena but we will work with them in visiting often so that they can become the bested of friends and have a forever loving and spoiled life!
Sneak Peek! 👀
SNEAK 👀!!
Ideas and plans are in the works and it’s going to be so very exciting!
Piper is doing a little ground work with Swayze. This boy is so sweet and loving of course when food isn’t involved 🤣. He is such a dream under saddle and on a lead line! HE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
We had a blast at BHFERS first SIP’n PAINT of 2025! The paintings by everyone were absolutely amazing! Of course MIDS the kid had to try to steal the show, but I’m pretty sure it was a tie between him and CHARLIE the baby donkey 😎. Thank you to everyone that came out to support our rescue and our event team that pulled this off even during the midst of bad weather coming!
We just had a tornado literally a few miles from us 😭
GOD had our farm wrapped up in his hands! 🙌 🙏🏻🙌 The tornado touched down just a few miles from us….
