This dog was found near Old Hwy 5 South. We’re hoping to reunite them with their owner, so if this is your dog or you know who they belong to, please contact us!

Proof of ownership will be required to claim them. The dog is currently on a 5-day stray hold, giving the owner time to come forward. If no one claims them after the hold, they will be available for adoption.

Dear Community,

One of our compassionate neighbors has stepped up in an incredible way, rescuing 16 adorable Great Pyrenees mix puppies that were being attacked by a feral pack of dogs. She has taken them in to save their lives, but she urgently needs our help. With limited space and resources, she cannot care for them all on her own.

These sweet puppies are around 10 weeks old and are in desperate need of foster or forever homes. Sadly, local shelters are already at or beyond capacity, and no one can take them in at the moment. The Gilmer County Animal Shelter has generously offered to assist with their vaccinations to ensure they are healthy.

Here's how you can help:

Foster a Puppy: If you have space and time, consider fostering one (or more) of these puppies. Your temporary care will make a huge difference.

Adopt a Puppy: If you’re ready to make a lifelong commitment, adopting one of these pups will change their lives forever.
