Thanksgiving has extra meaning this year:

For over 2 decades, I have dreamed of finding a TB stallion with the pedigree, temperament, athleticism and race record worthy of obtaining WB stallion licensing; and not only has it happened twice; BOTH boys received First Premium Premier.

Truly a dream come true with the best of boys.

A couple of us were lucky enough to audit and RIDE with Boyd Martin this weekend! It was a super positive, fun and educational clinic and an experience every rider should jump at whenever possible.

I’m so thankful for what 2024 has brought for our barn family and looking forward to 2025!

I am thrilled to now have a Sports Innovations Proseries 3 in 1 therapeutic blanket to offer in-house and on the road. I’ve been using it on my horses for a couple weeks now and they all absolutely love it. With programs offering PEMF, Massage and heat this is proving to be a versatile tool in addition to massage and k-taping services!

we’re so excited to welcome Olivia McKinstry as our Assistant Barn Manager for our combined Cozy Fields Farm & Grey Jumper Enterptise team!

Olivia has been with us the last 3 years advancing her riding & learning how to keep a boarding, lesson and show barn at the top of its game. From lease & lesson client to working student to assistant barn manager we couldn’t be more proud of your hard work & dedication in all aspects. We’re so excited to help you continue to build your future in this industry.

Help Wanted!!

We are beginning the search for an assistant to our stallion program. This position will start Jan 1 and be approximately 20 hours a week with the potential for more as we grow.

The ideal candidate is over 21, meticulous, reliable and comfortable with breeding stock. Trailer driving experience is preferred but we are willing to train.

Duties will include:

Help with scheduling and transportation. Grooming. Ground work. Traveling to collection appointments and inspections.

This is a paid position and a phenomenal opportunity for someone wanting to work with quality animals and learn about TB bloodlines.

Cozy Fields Farm has stalls available for training, rehab board & lessons. Located in Ellington CT.

We offer a wide variety of services from an on site Dressage Trainer with a record through 4th level and an extensive background in baroque & working equitation with a passion for OTTBs, as well as an onsite Hunter/Jumper trainer with a record through the 3’-3’3 equitation & hunters and the 1.05/1.10M Jumpers, who is passionate about teaching riders the fundamentals & enjoyment of horses from beginner levels- advanced.

You don’t have to have an interest in showing to train & board with us! In addition to our local & travel show schedule, we also enjoy our on-site trails and participating in versatility clinics & hunter paces. Having multiple rigs at hand - We enjoy doing a little bit of everything so our horses & riders can have the opportunity to gain a well rounded experience!

In addition to the training services we offer, our dressage trainer is also a certified Equine Massage Therapist trained in K-Taping and has multiple therapeutic technologies to offer such as: a theraplate, Class 3B Cold laser, tense unit, and treadmill!

Our hunter/jumper trainer is also a trained Veterinary Technician with a B.S. degree in animal Science & equine management, with her own Bemer blanket we incorporate for our horses.

Together, we work closely with our primary & specialty sports medicine veterinarians, farriers, saddle fitters and Blue Seal Sponsors to ensure the absolute best care for your horse.

Our facility amenities include:
-12x12 & 10x10 stalls fully matted
- heated tackroom
- hot & cold water
- Outdoor washstall
- Grass outdoor
- Trails on site
- Indoor with newly improved footing
- Large grass turnouts for individual or group turnout (day, night or 24/7 weather permitting)
- 2-3 grain meals per day
- Multiple hay choice options as well as 24/7 hay offerings
- Night check
- - sand round pen

Yesterday the and crew enjoyed a perfect morning at Folly Farm. Our very own rode in her second ever show and had an absolute blast on ! We’re so thankful to her owners for sharing their wonderful pony with us. Her owner, Anna, then went on and had lovely trips in the pre-childrens (those photos coming soon) and packed his leadliner around like the absolute unicorn that he is.

So many more photos and videos to come!

2024 has been all about improving and expanding! We are proud to have completely resurfaced our indoor arena and round pen, will be making improvements on our outdoor, and are just bringing the farm back to it’s glory.

Additionally, we’ve added an equine treadmill and to our existing rehab program.

Lastly, we are proud to be standing two QUALITY Thoroughbred stallions at stud for the 2025 season. More info on them coming soon.

#Chowda went on his first off farm adventure today and showed that stakes winners can really do it all! Thank you to everyone at Magnolia for hosting such a fabulous clinic and to Dallas Maddox and Pnut for joining us in the adventures!

Loxi

This handsome 10yo imported Oldenburg gelding is fitting up nicely after the winter off and is offered for sale to the best of homes. Loxi has miles to 1.25m in Europe and is an absolute joy to have in the barn. He’ll be available to see in both the hunter and equitation rings at The 5/A Baker in June!

We are so thankful and excited to welcome Scout to our barn family! Her owner is going to be leasing, learning and showing with us and her beautiful pony is available to our lesson clients! It’s such a blessing to have so many great people and animals in our lives. 💖🦄
