We are aware and actively monitoring this emerging respiratory illness that is being spread amongst dogs. There is no confirmed outbreak at this point and while there is no test for this illness, there are some steps you can take to reduce your pets exposure.

-limit large social situations with multiple dogs
-make sure your pets vaccinations are up to date including bordetella and influenza
-monitor for symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, nasal or eye discharge, lethargy, trouble breathing, or blue/purple gums

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team should you have any questions or concerns. 🐾

Lauren has been with the team since 2019 and wears many hats! Lauren is our veterinary assistant and fills many wonderful roles in the practice. She supports the whole team in a myriad of ways; from answering phones to caring for post op patients and beyond! Lauren is an avid reader, gardener, and loves to spend time with family and friends. At home she is loved by her 3 cats, Hamilton, Eliza, and Sprout. We are so grateful for Lauren and all she brings to our team!

Josie joined our in team December of 2021 and is currently enrolled in school to become an RVT. She is always the first one to give snuggles to all the patients and make sure we capture cute pics of them - she has excelled in her education with our post surgery patients and assisting their owners on the recovery process. At home, Josie has two labs, Moose and Dolly. Thank you Josie for all you do! We are so lucky to have you!

Ashten joined the EVH team in 2022 but feels like she has meshed with us for years! She has excellent patient care and thrives when providing education and understand for our clients about their pets. At home, she has the sweetest golden, Weston. When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Lyndon, her family and friends, and being outdoors. We are so grateful for you Ashten! 🐾

Casey has been with the EVH team since 2017. She is extremely attentive with patient care and loves to focus on surgery. If your pet has ever had an orthopedic procedure with our specialist, Dr. Allen, Casey is our in house ortho tech and works so thoughtfully while your pets are with us. Casey has 3 rescue dogs, Charlie, Axle, and Ginger. She also has one rescue cat named Sky. When not caring for patients, Casey loves to spend time with family and friends and attend concerts.

Jaime has been one of our incredible RVT’s since 2017. She has a rescue pit bull named Trina and two cats, Emi and Tessi. Jaime is our go to resident expert in all things cats and caffeine. Jaime is incredibly organized, detail oriented, and loves performing extensive diagnostics and supporting client education. Thank you so much Jaime for all you do! 🐾

We are excited to be celebrating our tech staff throughout the week and sharing a little bit more about the loving people who care for your animals! 🐾

Kelly, our lead RVT, has been with EVH since 2009. She has two beautiful children, Brody and Rowan and two rescue pit bulls, Kona and Clyde. Kelly wears many hats in our hospital and is always striving to create a memorable experience for everyone who walks through the door. In her free time, Kelly loves to read, spend time with family and friends, and travel.

🐶We are so excited to have a lot to celebrate this week

Today is Boss’ day and we are so grateful for our two wonderful and fearless leaders, Dr. Whitehead and Dr. Mindy. Thank you two for cultivating an environment of support and fun for our clients, patients, and team! 🐱

We are also celebrating veterinary technician week this week for our amazing veterinary technicians and back of house support. This group so lovingly cares for your pets and their time with us - every nail trim, blood draw, surgery, snuggle and beyond will have one or many of these amazing people by their side.

This is not our usual posting but the Whitehead family has had a surplus of duck eggs as of recently and they are for sale! 🦆

Duck eggs boast 50% more vitamins than chicken eggs. 🥚 They are higher in protein, antioxidants, and omega 3 fatty acids.

If you would like to purchase some duck eggs, they are $6 per dozen (cash or Venmo only). Please comment on this post and we can have them available for pickup at the hospital during our normal hours of operation.
