🐾This is our pawstive canine principals class. This curriculum is designed to help foster basic skills and behaviors. Here teams are working on a hand target behavior. At the end of class we built this into a recall using a hand target!
🐾This cue and behavior is great for a variety of reasons. If the environment is loud or if your dog is far away they can still see the visual cue. This game also makes recall fun!

Fun fact: My wedding anniversary is the same day as Something to Wag About’s anniversary! If you know me, you know that if I’m not traveling with my family, you can find me covered in dog hair and dog treats on the daily. Spending all my days dancing, laughing and creating memories with my awesome staff while we care for your amazing pets. We really are living the dream and all consider ourselves so lucky. Between the staff and myself, we have millions of dog pictures and finding one to share to highlight the years for today is impossible. Creating a video with all the memories is again impossible because there are so many key moments, events, awards, certificates, places traveled, beautiful dogs and fun to fit into one video. Instead I’ve attached a video of my family on our vacation that we are currently taking in the keys as a reminder to play just as hard as you work and to enjoy life around you.

Did you know that most doodles fall into the long hair category? In order to properly care for their coats and minimize breakage, you need hydration, hydration, hydration. And of course collagen to help de-tangle those long coats.
Our shop girlie, Olive, is soaking in a conditioner that is specific to her coat type. This long coated conditioner helps de-tangle knots, give softness and shine as well as hydrate those beautiful curls. 🖤
Over the weekend our daycare manager, Margaret, brought in her Great Dane for a bath. Though this breed has short hair it still needs regular care. In this video she uses Ive San Bernard Lemon shampoo and conditioner from our pampered pooch package. This shampoo helps reduce dandruff and leaves the coat shiny. She also added in Black Passion and Ozonized from our Oil Therapy option. All these products help keep short hair moisturized and healthy!
