Izzy grooms her buddy, Lollipop
Check out Peanut, an 11 year yellow Labrador, who could barely walk a year ago. She was not able to go up and down stairs or get up on the bed. After receiving physical therapy and acupuncture, her mobility improved and her pain level decreased. In order to ensure sustained improvement without frequent visits, Dr. Maro recommended stem-cell therapy and PRP. Peanut underwent her therapy with our team at the Cranberry Holistic Pet Care in December of 2017 and is now able to go on walks, go up and down steps, and get up onto the bed without assistance. Here she is, visiting us the other day for maintenance chiropractic care. Go Peanut!
Check out Beau, one of our Stem Cell Therapy success cases! He had Stem Cell and PRP therapy, made from his own fat cells and injected by Dr. Maro, a few weeks ago. His owner says he is having a great response; arthritis signs have decreased. He is standing taller and having improved strength. To find out how Stem cell and PRP therapy can help your pet, call today to schedule an appointment.
CT scans have many applications. We use ours most frequently to diagnose lung, tracheal, oral, sinus, tooth, ear, spine and bone disorders. The applications don't end there. See how orthopedic conditions can be diagnosed and treated more effectively by combining the results with 3D printing of exact replicas of the body area requiring surgery
Echocardiography helps us establish specific diagnosis of your pet's heart condition. Whether he has a murmur, exercise intolerance or is at high risk to develop cardiomyopathy due to breed, Dr. Annette Anleu, our staff veterinarian, can provide an assessment so we can start treatment as soon as possible.
Is your pet an athlete, either in a sport like like dock diving, flyball or agility, or an athlete in your own yard? If so, he needs regular adjustments, winter conditioning and sometimes rehab care for injuries. We can help prevent injuries, and keep your pet moving pain-free, with all those essentials. Contact us and request a musculoskeletal or rehab exam. Be sure to share with all the k-9 (and feline) athlete enthusiasts you know.
Supporting the Human-animal bond through advancements in veterinary medicine... and a puppy break. Another day at the North American Veterinary Conference.
Check out this cute little guy in the middle of the screen. He's a skin mite which has been causing his host (the dog with all the raised skin bumps) lots of itching and misery. Unfortunately, prior to visiting us, he was treated with steroids and other immune suppressive drugs which allowed the mites to spread. This demonstrates the importance of getting a diagnosis before prescribing.
Check out Peanut, a patient with hip dysplasia and ACL tears, as she gets her swim therapy. Not only is she a rehab star, walking without a limp after several weeks of acupuncture, but she shocked her owner by overcoming her fear of water and is rebuilding muscle.
