Prayers for Buck please. Tim is loading Buck and headed to the vet. He is not wanting to eat and is uncomfortable.

This is why I dislike cold weather so much. Even though we keep several water troughs with heaters, feed wet, add salt and electrolytes there's always a concern that they won't drink enough and lead to colic/impaction. We don't even feed any of these seniors coastal have to reduce chances of impaction. We only feed them fine stalk Bermuda hay and chopped alfalfa.

Please pray that it's just something minor. We all love this boy and he finally has a herd. We don't want to wait and take a chance.

2nd Afternoon Live at the 34(Barn) & the 9 (Nine). Jan 21, 2025.

Our biggest needs are. It's always hay and alfalfa from Millers Hay and Feed 2548292055, chopped alfalfa from petco and help paying wages. We pay over 1K a week for help and recently it has been more like $1600 with extra help the past few weeks. Tim and I have never paid ourselves. Didn't want someone to think we were.

Thankfully, Tim still got Gracie and Hank to the vet early. We felt it was important. They will be there a while. Hank is having his shoes check and we're hoping Dr. Buck can repair the crack that has been in Gracie's hoof from the old injury. This would help reduce the chances of abscesses. 1st Afternoon Live with the minis at the house, 34(Barn) & the 9 (Nine). Jan 21, 2025.

Our biggest needs are. It's always hay and alfalfa from Millers Hay and Feed 2548292055, chopped alfalfa from petco and help paying wages. We pay over 1K a week for help and recently it has been more like $1600 with extra help the past few weeks. Tim and I have never paid ourselves. Didn't want someone to think we were.

Thankfully, Tim still got Gracie and Hank to the vet early. We felt it was important. They will be there a while. Hank is having his shoes check and we're hoping Dr. Buck can repair the crack that has been in Gracie's hoof from the old injury. This would help reduce the chances of abscesses. Well this is disgusting. Our water supply for the creek horses is gone, lol. I'm thankful all horses are doing well. This just puts some humor in our day.

It is not getting above freezing today but it will tomorrow! Just one more day! I am thankful this weather only happens occasionally. When Tim gets home, we will attach a hose to our kitchen sink and deliver water. They have enough left in the other trough to last a couple hours.

Yes it snowed. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

I've been feeding at the house and Caydan has been feeding at the 9 and currently at the 34. We will update about Gracie and Hank when we have one.

It is miserable outside but the animals seem to love it.

Waters are frozen solid so I've been carrying buckets of water outside at the house where we don't have water heaters. Pray things thaw out including water hoses otherwise it will be a long day of hauling water, lol.

We have went through a lot of funds for hay, alfalfa, special feed, chopped alfalfa, blankets, tarps, straw and preparing for winter weather plus paying for our regular employees and for extra help.

We are worn out and could use some prayer. We love the horses and have
always felt led to do what we are doing but definitely need prayer for energy and to keep pressing forward. Tim has been outside most nights until 12-1am. Working full time jobs and volunteering all extra time to operate a rescue has been catching up lately. I am ready for the summer!

Amazon wish list and current needs!

Another winter storm is headed our way Saturday evening. Temps next week will drop into the teens and not get above freezing a couple of days.

Tim has a few requests. One being a hoof stand so he can work on hooves. Hope has been giving him
lessons. We have one hoof nippers and they must be the more expensive ones as those are the only ones that will go through draft horses hooves.

We also need 2 round bale hay nets for the "9"/senior side so we can safely feed them hay. Another hay hut would be great but we will fundraise for that one day.

Hay net can be ordered from anywhere but need to be large 6x6 round bale nets with openings of a least 2.5 squares. Also would love a square bale net for the 4x2 square bales which would also need 2.5 inch holes.

Thank you Erie Morris for purchasing Lady Hopes blanket! Lonnie's blanket was $99 if someone would like to sponsor his blanket. Thank you Rhonda McGuire who has 5 blankets headed our way! That are 2-75 in, 2-78 inch and a 87. The Belgians do not need blankets.

We are measuring some of the foals/yearlings to see what blankets we have. I will add those as we get measurements.
