Today is Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) day. For many of us, this is a day off work for an extended weekend. While there is nothing wrong with that, we should all also remember the great man for which today was dedicated.

Has anyone heard the story of MLK and the German Shepherd in the police car? In June, 1964, MLK was arrested in Florida on accusation of inciting racial unrest in St. Augustine. To intimidate MLK, police put a German Shepherd in the back seat. Instead, the dog lowered its ears and laid close to MLK. They say animals are able to tell who are good people, right?

Today is another installment of "Share your pet photo Sunday!" We are highlighting Zeus today, courtesy of his owners KayeLee and Anthony.

Zeus is a 6 year old German Shepherd. He loves to play fetch and never seems to run out of energy when playing. He is extremely obedient until you leave him alone, when he turns into a mischievous dog who gets into everything. He has a 2.5 year old human sister who he loves to play with, and is very patient with her. Overall, he is a great family dog who is well loved!
