**Disclaimer: Some pet parents have asked to be excluded from this post, because they are still healing.

This is our love letter to your dogs.

“I look for you in all the things we once did together. That is where I find our happiest memories. Your loss has rearranged my world and although I am standing on the other side, I am no longer the same. It takes exceptional hearing to capture those silent sobs for what used to be, so I hope you are listening. Because we are looking across our playgroups and noticing you are no longer there. Hidden beneath the day to day are heavy hearts. Under our care we became one. You shared our silences, our mood shifts, and our routines without judgment. Unspoken kinship at its purest form.”

There is no love quite as unique as a pet. Because without a shared language to shape our understanding, we can recognize and fulfill every need they may have, and they do just the same for us. So don’t push through this grief. Let the sorrow for our furry friend’s trail behind you like the pitter patter of paws. The walls of our facility will echo loudly with every beautiful soul that came and went because we cannot bear to lose you again.

We will exist with that ache for as long as we can. Because we know grief is just love that has no place to go. ❤️

We received so many comments on this video that we thought we'd post it here! We realize many families don't get to see the dynamics of daycare and boarding except through our lens. The staff here is able to build a fantastic relationship between exercise and relaxation. There can not be constant movement without something to counteract it. So, the way our days get scheduled contribute to that. Your pups may experience official breaks where they enjoy lunch or have time away from others or, in this case, an "unofficial" break from the elation. These moments can happen for many reasons, including the time of day, the dogs in the room, or how calm the handler is. But we welcome them! We promise you that when your dogs are in this facility, they are fulfilling their needs. We will watch over them, we will encourage them, but most of all, we will do right by them.
