We had beautiful weather for our not-quite-last party today. Thanks to Synoma Hays for hosting us! Consensus is that we will try again, and hope that more folks can make it next time. Nancy promised to make more of the graham cracker/butter/brown sugar/chocolate chip concoction everyone loves for our next gathering. :-)

Sorry to hear of the passing of Paul Glombowski's wife, Barbara. Services will be private, with a memorial service planned at a later date. Barbara was Paul's "secretary" - so snail mail or telephone may be the best way to reach Paul, if desired.

I just found 50 agility courses I created for classes at the Windy City Agility Club in 2001! The equipment and course design was a LOT different nearly 20 years ago. This was course 1, obstacle #2 is a "hoop tunnel" hula hoops bungeed together to make a tunnel, #3 is a log jump, and #4 is a pause box (a 4ft square box of PVC). I love that I had a threadle from 3-4! (of course we weren't going as fast back then as we are now).

Lots of fun and good food were had at the WCAC pizza party last night! Thanks to John Mathias, we even have pictures.

After almost 30 years of agility training, Windy City Agility Club is announcing the close of all training as of 9/27/19.

Back in the late 80's a few people heard about an interesting and fun new dog sport called agility. They built some equipment (the tire was a truck tire, the a-frame was solid wood, the dog walk was solid wood, jumps were big and solid wood - you get the picture) and put on some classes. It took off like gangbusters! WCAC and another club started at the same time in the US and were instrumental in bringing agility to this country. NCDA (eventually became UKC), followed by USDAA began to hold trials and the rest is history!

Windy City Agility Club did its part in bringing agility to the US and starting countless people on the path to agility as a hobby, profession, and obsession, LOL! It's been a great run and now it's time for us to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labors.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported our club for all of these years. A special thank you Nancy Mucklewicz for her efforts this last past year......

Run fast, run clean, and most of all have fun with your dogs enjoying this spectacular sport.
