Today I received a thank you from Trio Animal Foundation for the donation made in memory of Lou Bogart and I wanted to share it with you. The Brigette mentioned in the note is one of Lou's daughters.

I'm sad to report the recent passing of Caralu (Lou) Bogart. Lou was one of the founders of Windy City in the 1970s and the face of the club for many years. Services have been held. The remaining funds of Windy City have been donated to Trio Animal Foundation in memory of Lou.

We had beautiful weather for our not-quite-last party today. Thanks to Synoma Hays for hosting us! Consensus is that we will try again, and hope that more folks can make it next time. Nancy promised to make more of the graham cracker/butter/brown sugar/chocolate chip concoction everyone loves for our next gathering. :-)
