Welcome to Mosh Pits & Kits, Tommy & Vince! Named after and of 🤘

These two were dumped (along with some other cats that I will go back for once I have the ability to) in a rural area. Thankfully, they found a house with some really sweet people that fed them and let them live in their garage. They are both very sweet and even tried to jump in the back hatch of my car when I pulled up and opened my car to get carriers out 🥺

Tommy & Vince both need to be neutered and to receive shots, dewormer, and so on.

Our biggest needs for them currently are kitty litter (any kind) and meow mix wet food cups - both can be found on our wishlist - linktr.ee/moshpitsrescue

To ear tip or not to ear tip? That is the question

If you are new to rescue and do not know the term "ear tip".... Ear tipping is done to identify that a cat has been spayed/neutered. Ear tipping is important while trapping large colonies or working sites that have multiple cats. It is how rescuers visually identify which cats have been fixed and which ones have not.

Ear tips are given while the cat is under anesthesia, typically on the same day that they are spayed/neutered The tip of one ear is cut straight across so that people will be able to tell at a glance that cat is fixed. Ear tipping – helps prevent the cat from being retrapped by neighbors and brought back to the clinic or shelter. Allows your neighbors to know that the cat in their yard is fixed and not having kittens under their porch. In more rural areas, an ear tip might even save your cat from being shot or poisoned, knowing they are not spraying in the yard or adding to the cat population

Often, when I bring up the topic of ear tips, most people say, "I could never. My poor cat's ear." - But remember that your cat cannot see the ear tip. It doesn't bother them. It doesn't impact how other cats treat them. As the cat population continues to grow exponentially, an ear tip gives your cat-friend some protection while roaming around outdoors. An ear tip says, "Hey, someone spent time and effort to get me spay/neutered/vaccinated. I am cared for by someone. Please do not harm me"

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Tech Deck 🛹 + Tamagotchi 👾
These two playful critters are in search of their forever homes! They joined me as fosters after their previous guardian had some personal hardships and could no longer keep them. Both Tech Deck and Tamagotchi are playful and social with people, other cats, and calm dogs. As of the 15th, both WILL BE fixed (spayed/neutered), have had their first shots, and have been treated with flea & parasite prevention. They can go to their new homes AFTER that date. 🙂

There is an adoption fee that goes back towards rescue/care expenses I’ve incurred.

THANK YOU to Christine, Dana, & Kristina for your recent contributions towards my foster kitties! We’ve received wet food, treats, cleaning supplies, and this comfy, spooky (my vibe!) hideaway Tamagotchi and Tech Deck are really enjoying!

Tamagotchi and Tech Deck, the two newest additions to the rescue room, were brought to me after their (former) human guardian decided she had too much going on in her personal life to handle the two kittens she recently took in from someone else that was giving them away online. They will be getting spayed/neutered when age appropriate (likely in January when they’re 3 months old) and then put up for adoption to find their forever families. In the meantime, they are spoiled with all sorts of goodies thanks to your kindness 🖤

Welcome to the rescue, Tech Deck and Tamagotchi!

These two were taken in by someone who ultimately couldn’t keep them due to personal reasons. They are now safe with Mosh Pits & Kits. These two will get spayed/neutered (once theyre a little older), vaccinated, treated for parasites, and spoiled with treats and snuggles until their forever human guardians adopt them 🖤

Please consider sending some supplies off our wishlist for these guys! Right now, our biggest need is kitty litter and dry kitten food (yellow bag) - but every single thing sent is appreciated and put to use! Donate whatever you feel called to 🙂 (donations are not tax deductible, sorry).

Adoptable black cat Jett says happy Black Friday! Here she is enjoying some treats and catnip on a cardboard scratcher for some enrichment. I try to make sure my fosters with Mosh Pits & Kits Rescue all get some sort of enrichment every day, whether it’s catnip, treats, or extra playtime.

With supplies being used everyday for enrichment (and the regular feeding and cleaning and what not), we go through supplies rather quickly - and will be going through them even faster as I’m preparing to take more kitties in need into the rescue soon!

✂️🥜 congrats to (former) stray/community cat Olly on getting neutered today! I was more than happy to help this guy get neutered and return him to his new ✨indoor home with loving human guardians and kitty siblings✨

Olly was part of a stray cat colony that hangs out around my grandparents’ house. They have several regular feeders and caregivers, and thankfully one of those households decided to take Olly inside and live with them. Thank you to them for caring for him and for covering all the costs associated with his neuter. All I did was schedule the appointment and help transport him 🙂

Reminder: PLEASE get your pets spayed and neutered. Please. Cats especially. There’s way too many homeless cats living in the streets, in shelters, being given away for free to whoever is willing to take them, etc. If you need help getting your pet - or community cats - fixed, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out! There’s so many organizations and individuals willing to help you get them fixed. I mean it.
