FUREVER UPDATE🐱
“Just wanted to send a note and let you know that Buck, who has informed us that his name is actually "Jasper" is doing very well in his new home! He sits and patiently waits for breakfast every morning while the coffee starts, spends time in his bed in the office while Dad is at the computer, and has utilized our long hallway to the bedroom as his personal playground with his toy mice being the star of the show when he is not playing fetch with us. He enjoys long naps in my lap while I rest. Today, we are hanging all of our bird feeders so this will be a new stimulation for him of which he will surely enjoy! He's very talkative since day one and didn't seem to have any adjustment period, he came home and was simply HOME! We are so grateful for our new baby. And we thank you and all the staff so much for taking care of him until he could find his way into our arms!! Here are a few pictures of him that we've enjoyed!“

FUREVER PUPDATE🐶❤️
“Kronk” now known as Hondo, has been amazing! He has been with us a little over a month now. He has blended in so well with our family. The kids love being able to go on walks and play ball with him! There favorite part is getting all the hondo snuggles! The cats are still not sure about him, but that doesn’t stop hondo from trying to play with them. Hondo is definitely loved by not just us, but all of our neighbors as well. He is one spoiled dog and we are so happy to spend his forever with him. Thank you again! 🐶"

The Chemung County SPCA celebrated its 125th year of operation in 2016, making it the oldest animal welfare organization in our region. Since 1891, the Chemung County SPCA has been devoted to the care of the homeless animals of Chemung County and the surrounding area.
Every year, we provide care for more than 1,200 cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens. We spay and neuter well over 3,000 cats and dogs through our affordable SNAP program. We help approximately 2,000 pets through our various safety net programs, keeping them in their homes, with their families, and out of area shelters. And through our humane relocation program, we transfer in cats and dogs facing uncertain futures at overcrowded, high-intake shelters giving them second chances and brighter futures.
