Army Corp of engineers are shoring up levees on north side of Hastings Island. Starting Tuesday 30 to 40 semi trucks daily will be hauling rocks and using island roads.This is for 3 weeks. Please pass the word.

After updating your PRO 550 PLUS handheld, turn the dial to "N" and press the tone button to access all the New Features on the Main Menu:

 Mark/Delete Truck: Once set, press and release the power button to see your truck's location at any time.

 Update Rate: Choose Dynamic Tracking or up to a 2.5-second fixed update rate.

 Blink Mode: Set your TT25's Beacon Lights to continuous light, slow flash, or fast flash.

 Change Color: Choose from 7 different Beacon Light color options.

 Rescue Mode: Activate or deactivate to preserve battery life so you can find lost dogs.

Dog Type: Choose auto, treeing, or pointing mode for each collar.

 Change ID: Select different ID numbers for your collars if you have interference issues.

 Info: Shows the control number, track number, ID number, and update rate for your collars.

Pair Collar: Add collars to your handheld.

 System: Includes settings for day/night mode, auto or manual backlight, and compass calibration.

It has been a difficult few months here at double EE kennels. We lost Buddee in May and Ellee this week. This brother and sister duo would have been 14 years old in November. Time for them to reconnect with their mom, Dixee and all the EE fur friends chasing birds over the rainbow. R.I.P.

People ask when can a puppy come to the field. This is from the American Veterinary Association.

“The primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life. During this time puppies should be exposed to as many new people, animals, stimuli and environments as can be achieved safely and without causing over-stimulation manifested as excessive fear, with-drawal or avoidance behavior. For this reason, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior believes that it should be the standard of care for puppies to receive such socialization before they are fully vaccinated.”
