Wildfire smoke poses serious health risks for pets
Pets can develop symptoms of asthma from wildfire smoke, particularly if they have underlying health conditions. Pets like dogs may not exhibit coughing but could show increased lethargy and rapid breathing. If you have a dog that's over the age of 6 if it's a large breed, 8 if it's a small breed, I'd just play it safe and keep them inside

Saw Mill Veterinary Care offers a warm congratulations to Dr. Kelya Castillo and Dr. Alic Pizzimenti who just graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pizzimenti and Dr. Castillo both worked with Dr. Klock, Dr. Hammond and all the staff at Saw Mill Veterinary Care through out the years in various capacities. We love education and when our people move on to do great things. Dr. Pizzimenti and Dr. Castillo have accepted internships at the VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center and both hope to specialize. We couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments.
