We tried to give everyone a turn at one of the three events this weekend, day three featured Roxy Black, Pan, Chester, Levi, Delta, Boone, Althea, Betsy, and Arabella!

Althea has a serious adoption interest, and Arabella is weighing in at 150 pounds!

Other than that it was pretty slow, thanks in part to the yucky weather. Enjoy these photos of our babies, please comment with any questions!

🐾 Five Dollar Friday 🐾

We go through more than forty pounds of food every single day feeding the dogs in our care. That’s forty pounds of hope, love, and second chances.

Right now we have seven Great Pyrenees puppies eating like tiny tanks as they grow into the gentle giants they’re meant to be. Add in our pittie and catahoula mix pups, seniors, the special needs pets, and the ones healing from neglect, and it’s easy to see how fast supplies disappear.

Then there are the vet bills. Martha’s ongoing care. Linnie the old kitty’s appointments. Vaccines, medications, preventatives. It never stops, but neither do we.

A $5 gift might not sound like much, but together it keeps the food coming and the care going. If everyone who follows us gave just five dollars today, we could cover food for the whole week.

This beauty is Maple. She was found as a stray in Kenner.

Maple is a cuddly and loyal girl who loves lounging on the couch with her family. She gets along very well with other dogs, but she's also happy soaking up all of your attention herself. She will absolutely adore you, too.

She is potty trained and very food-motivated, so training is going spectacularly! Her favorite thing to do outside is play frisbee to burn off energy, and she's super cute when she runs after it.

Every single week, Saturdays 10-4. Come on down, walk dogs, chat with potential adopters, make sure the pups stay stocked on water, toys, and interaction. Encourage folks to foster, adopt, donate, volunteer.
