The mission of Contented Critters is to advocate for the underdogs and help animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation, appropriate veterinary care, and adoption.

Our vision is to reduce the community need for pet rescue through preemptive measures, such as a spay and neuter program for pets in our care, and community outreach and education.

Unfortunatly her adopter had health issues and can’t take care of her. She can go to a home anytime! ❤️

* Pups are 8 weeks next week, and still only 4 pounds. Tiny little pups!

NOVEMEBER 16 2024 Ely 11-1 PM.

Again, the very lovely Ely Flower and Seed is hosting us in one of their greenhouses. 145 W CAMP ST ELY MN.

Free microchips. No breeders please. CATS OR DOGS

No annual fees or registration fee for chips. Please no aggressive critters.

Nail trims are $15.00 CAT or DOG!

All proceeds go to the critters!

SENIOR CAT LOOKING FOR AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER!!

Meet Bella, she is an older girl 8/9 years old, looking for a place to her own. She was surrendered this week due to her owner having to go into assisted living. She is VERY sweet, and kind. Sadly she’s been hiding her face in to the kennel walls here and is very depressed. We’re hoping to find her a new home asap, we have sponsored her fee. She gets along good with your cats and dogs, and would likely do fine with older children. She would need a home to let her decompress.

This 5 year old sister duo was surrendered this week due to their loving owner going into assisted living.

Munchie and Gracie are very shut down here. We’d love for them to get back into a home environment. They are fully vetted and fixed. Owner had other cats and they got along with them, most likely would be fine with other dogs, and older children would be fine as long as a family allows them decompress. Must be indoor cats only. Very sweet cats, just very shut down.

Our fosters are provided with food and litter, all you will need is to provide them with a loving environment.

Have you ever thought about volunteering for a non-profit? Have you ever wanted to give back to animals? Now is your time! We are in high need of volunteers to do transport of shelter animals to the vet for spay/neuters. This requires an early leave time from Grand Rapids by 6am and a return of about 3:30. The drive is 1 1/2 hours each way and can be split into 2 runs if needed. We are also looking for volunteers to become call coordinators. This entails taking and redirecting calls on a rotating schedule. Can anyone give this sweet boy a chance? This boy came in as a stray all scratched up, and now he is thriving. Roman has come out of his shell, he loves his humans, he’s fine with other cats and doesn’t mind dogs. He would need a patient home who’d let him warm up to them, he takes awhile but is such a love bug when he does! 🩷 Roman is roughly 3-4 years old, neutered and fully vetted.
