Here's a story about a grandma: It's a fun note of history behind the new NFC Winner's pedigree. A story that reflects the power of community behind retriever enthusiasts and their care for marvelous pedigree behind a great breeding program. 2023 NFC FC AFC Freeridin Rikki Tikki Tavi has a maternal grandmother who was owned by Mark Vossbein of Mark V Labs in Aurora, Minnesota. Mark was our pro-trainer of Jolor's Rejuvenator MH "Sparkle". In 2009 my sister from the West Coast ran in the NARC ("Blue"/finalist) in Virginia, MN and Mark V shared his property with us. Long story short, Mark & Missy became friends. Mark had this wonderful yellow lab named "Renny", a Grand Master Hunter, if I remember right. Undoubtedly, Renny was a favorite of MarkV's who had a strong hope of continuing her, yet, she came up once or twice with no pregnancy when bred. This time with new community he bred Renny successfully through my sister's shared expertise. This produced the pup who became the mother of our new National Winner. This tid bit of history holds a time frame from 2009 to 2023 about the good bloodlines on NFC Tivi's maternal side that simply pulsed through the years of responsibility & diligence of owners, breeders, trainers & handlers in the sport of the pure bred AKC Labrador Retriever, the rest of that history lies on BOTH sides of NFC Tivi's pedigree! Congratulations, again, to the new 2023 National Retriever Championship Team Winners & thank you for the Great Memories that Mark Vossbein & Missy Bell have afforded us.
